There are obviously going to be some spoilers ahead, so If you haven't played EC you should get off these forums and go download it right now.

In my first play through of I picked the Destroy ending because to me, it was the most logical. It was also the goal I set out to do since the end of ME1. The Reapers must be destroyed to save all sentient life. I really enjoy that BioWare added some more face time with the Catalysts allowing us to better understand the ramifications of our choices and to add some back story to how the Catalysts came to be.

All in all to be the choice of Red, Green, and Blue were more difficult than before. But it was still clear to me what had to be done. Because both Synthesis and Control leave too many unknowns. To start Synthesis as the Catalysts stated was attempted before and failed, this lead me to remember Saren, which I did not want to force this choice on the galaxy. Control just left a bad taste in my mouth and had too many unknowns. If I lose my connection with humanity then I lose a part of myself, and whos to say that my mind would not eventually be corrupted and the cycle renews again?

Now Destroy left me with no questions. The Reapers who be no more, but unfortunately so would all synthetic life including the Geth and EDI. It was still a hard decision, but for me it was the right one. And seeing the new changes to the ending were very emotional. And with Hacketts speech that everything could be rebuilt I felt hopeful that too could be the Geth and EDI along with the Mass Relays.

But by far the most emotional part was seeing Garrus so reluctant in placing my plaque on the KIA wall. And his belief that some how, or some way I was still alive. A tear ran down my face when I saw the Normandy rise above the tree tops and head for orbit, and then with the scene of Shepherd still alive. I knew my crew was coming to save Shepherd.

It left possibilities for the future of Mass Effect, and I for one and proud of what BioWare has accomplished here. Thank you for the EC ending!
