Why not be a host and set up the match yourself - Have people join you rather than you join them

Maybe he has crap internet? Anyways it sucks the worst for PS3 players who want to do gold, always FBW/G/G, or a group of n7 <140 who don't know how to play and the rest of the players will NEVER use consumables.

This is the number 1 thing i dislike about games like ME3 Multiplayer, COD, Left 4 Dead. I just wish the game was set for Dedicated Servers with specific server settings. I always liked having a server browser to find a specific type of game settings that I like. Eg:

If I wanted to play FBW/G/G I could just search for a 24/7 fbw/g/g server. If not I could look for a Silver random/random server. I know you can do it now, but I just hate the p2p setup.

I don't like it when players just Nova/Lash the crap out of everything - or steal kills with the Reegar Carbine.

Often this is the scenario on Gold and I'm starting to see a lot of it on Bronze/Silver.

The auto matchmaking is quite tedious if you aren't set up for a Geth infested Gold (or similar) match, and you lose the equipment too if you quit the match

Lol sorry to say but that's how our gamers are, we have farmers and noobs. Even hosting a game isn't a solution, as people will just leave as soon as they see you aren't farming (I almost always host)... but on the flip side, the only real point to playing Gold is for credits, if you can beat FBWGG chances are you can beat anything the game throws at you, so "challenging" or not, Gold is pointless without farming. Plus I find people tend to "give up" easier on Gold, they withhold their Medi-Gel and Rockets and if things get tough they just die... it's annoying, I won't play anything on Gold unless it's FBWGG just because atleast when people are farming they intend to finish the round instead of giving up on wave 6.

Me and some of my friends got tired of the FBW/G/G set-up so we started doing U/C/G. Its more challenging and you get the credits you deserve.

i feel that bioware should patch up the spawn mechanics on FBW/G/G. to prevent the farming. when i play gold, i play U/R/G. to give my team a fair chance if FBW isn't their forte. i used to use the farming method until i got about 200 n7 rating, and then i just wildcarded the location to fight the reapers. i get a extreme sense of accomplishment when it says mission completed against reapers on a non farming map such as fbw. Also, if people are to one-viewed to use the carbine on lower difficulties, then let them do it @megabug7.

LOL. No, Bioware should not and cannot patch the mechanics of the game just because a few people are tired of FBW/g/g. If people want to play that then they are entitled too. If you don't like the way others play that's tough. That is the risk we all take when entering a game that is multiplayer- MULTI being the operative part of that word. If the group wants to do something that doesn't interest you then don't play with them. If I don't like the characterics of the match, I leave. Its easy.

Its not the volume of farmers that's the problem- its the lack of people whose defintion of fun means 'challenging'. It seems like everyone wants to fight geth irregardless of the map. People have it in their head that geth are easiest. I find that's highly dependent on the map and party make-up. I think the reapers are easier on certain maps, others cerberus. But someone who NEVER branches out from FBW/G/G wouldn't have the opportunity to know that.

As far as grouping goes it also depends on the time of day that you play ME3 because there are times when I can't find groups as some of you mentioned, but there are other times when I never run out of unknown gold matches. People should also be mindful of the differences in timezones- its possible that you might be playing at a time when other people are getting off work or sleeping in other parts of the country. The number of responses in this thread shows that people who like unknowns on gold do exist, its just a matter of us all playing at the same time. *;)

When your in a lobby and find someone that you get along with, Maybe your gaming style meshes well, friend request them. Pretty soon you will have a list of friends that you like to play with for your interest.Having a mic also helps. it seems to me far to many ppl don't have mics in ME3.Really Really Helps in beating the harder games.

with the nerf to infiltrator, and the buff to Cerberus I'm not shocked at the rise of farmers. In fact it feels like most of the balance changes have lead to farming being more attractive all the time. Strange how balance is actually leaving the game lopsided. -whistles-

Why don't you just look for Reapers or Cerberus as enemy so you avoid the Geth farmers.

Does the N(#) only goes up when you promote? Because I dont enjoy promoting so my number stays low but I'm not a noob. Just someone that enjoys my classes with full stats.

Yes the number only goes up after you promote, I know that the N7 rank doesn't show if somones a good
or bad player but some people kick low level players quickly.
Maybe promote just the classes you don't use so often.
