I love the MASS EFFECT series. I must be honest and say the ending for ME3(though very artistic) left me with many questions. It left me feeling...empty; a sensation of being lost. Having the Extended Cut DLC helps answer many questions, but not all. From the begining you knew your decisions and the way you execute those decisions would have effect throughout the Mass Effect trilogy. In ME1 you are brought into a universe full of Diversity and Exploration. In ME2 you uncover Dark Secrets and face Impossible Odds. With ME3 your brought into the Desperation of war and conclude a epic saga. Altogether the trilogy presented  (a)Great Interactive Storytelling experience, Compelling Characters who you begin to care for, and a grand sense of scale. As Commander Shepard I met many galactic civilizations, saved a nearly extinct race, uncovered secrets of the galaxy; found love(Liara), and many more all while maintaining a Paragon(good) disposition. While I invested more and more time into the series these encounter's and relationships began to matter to me. In the end I chose to destroy the Reapers and end the cycle of organic harvesting that had existed for thousands of years. Then I'm treated to a refined slew of cinimatics and stills that give a more clear understanding of my Journeys End; my legend,Shepards legend. Yes the end scenes show Liara holding the plaque rather than placing it on the wall indicating she still has hope that Shepard is alive(or I would hope that's what it means);and Shepard taking a breath, these scenes are more of a what-if than closure(for me). My Commander Shepard deserves to live on with his true love, he has sacrificed so much mentally, and physically he's earned the right to live his life with her; A scene depicting that would bring Me closure for Mass Effect. This is the only real reason I can't bring myself to complete the ending, my Shep fought for a future,a future with Liara; without her, He/I, is/am lost. As a fan i am anxious to see what's next for ME3 and the series as a whole. Despite everything all three games are absolutely amazing, for me there never was/is anything bad about ME3. "BioWare you guys ROCK!", I love and respect you guys for creating such an entertaining "EXPERIENCE" that i will continue to play and enjoy for years to come, as long as my Elite allows it that is. Oh yeah, i'm proud Mass Effect 1 was my first RPG.
