Do Arcane Warriors have a special shield they should be going for?  I see a lot of weapon threads and armor threads but I never see a shield thread.  Thanks.

Well any shield will do really, personally I just dualwield with my AW with all the sustained buffs its pretty hard to die even without a shield. But I am not aware of any shields with +magic on it, there might be one or two in game though.

There probably isn't a shield thread because Arcane Warriors don't gain lot from it. They've got more armour than they know what to do with (Massive Plate + Dex + Shimmering Shield = walking fortress).

What they don't have is shield talents, so it only gets used passively. If you must have a shield, the Redcliffe Elite shield is pretty useful, as it gives you extra mana.

I'd just simply request armor, I just bested the High Dragon, thus I will be forging some bad-ass Dragon armor for my party. You could use "Arcane shield" or "Shimmering Shield" which will drain mana heavily.

For me, I am still using a proper staff including some Veridum tier gear, protects me whilst my tank is geared up mad and draws attention. Too fragile to fight on my still.

Well the whole point of AW is to use sustained abilities, so you will hardly be casting. (Thats why AW+BM is so OP, since it allows you to cast magic on top of all the sustained magic)
At least thats how I figured it was meant to be played, but to each his own I say!:wizard:
