Spoilers below obviously...

So I've seen that many have been able to get TIM to kill himself in his final scene with Shep and Anderson, by passing all 3 morality checks (blue/red dialogue choices). I thought this was doable simply by having reputation maxed out, but in the past 2 and a half playthroughs (the first, an import from ME1/2, and the second a NG+ of that as well as a 3rd partial playthru of the end with the EC, starting from before Cerberus HQ in my last NG+)  the first 2 morality checks are open for me, but the 3rd one is greyed out. Thus, I have not been able to get TIM to shoot himself, and had to do the chore myself :P

Seems that it's not simply a matter of maxed out reputation, because in all situations so far, I've had the rep bar completely full - from what I remember, even before starting Cerberus HQ (at least in the latter 2 out of the 3 playthrus). You do gain a ton more reputation from Cerebrus HQ onward too, but I don't think reputation is "locked in" like EMS/TMS at that point, since rep points pop up as you play on.

Can anyone tell me what the requirements are for TIM's suicide? I'm wondering if maybe it's that you had to give him the Collectore Base in ME2 (this career destroyed the base in ME2)? Or perhaps EMS/TMS is in fact tied into it. The original NG+ I played was at around 63% galactic readiness, so if that's the case I would obviously need more. Or maybe there needs to be a different ratio of paragon and renegade in your rep bar than what I have (mostly paragon in all cases with a little renegade)?

Any tips?

The only requirement is to have passed the Charm/Intimidate checks in the previous 3 conversations (Mars, Thessia, Cerberus Base). Any combination.

Ah. Could you remind me where the checks take place in those three? And by Cerberus base you mean Cerberus HQ?

Edit - never mind. Now that you've enlightened me I finally found a vid showing the 3 different scenes. Thanx!

Edit 2 - I remember the parts now, but don't remember if my rep was high enough at those points in the game to get the morality checks, particularly Mars since it's so early. Surprised if my NG+ wouldn't have given them all to me though. I do always use a morality check when it comes up.

You have to make sure to do the dialogue investigation on the left side of the wheel in all talks to Tim to unlock the final charm/intimidate. High reputation matters as well so it's a combination of the two things.

I do use the left side red/blue dialogue choices with TIM, and my rep was maxed - problem is that the 3rd re/blue options are greyed out in the convo.

Edit - ok, seeing that you said "all" talks to TIM now. Thought you were just talking about the final convo.

I have the same problem with my two playthhough. I'm lucky to found that thread. :)

I think I'm missed both times the left investigate then charm/intimidate option. Once on Thessia, once on Mars. I think now I get it. So always choice the left "investigate" option then the charm/intimidate option?
My rep was full and my readiness is 100% whicj is drop back fast to 99%. I'm always thought that was the problem.

It seems heavily bugged. I've done what was suggested through two playthroughs and in both they were still grayed out for me.  This seems to be a common problem, especially if you import from ME2.  I guess some people just have to youtube the scene instead.

Use purely Paragon, or Renegade, conversation options during TIM cutscenes (before the final push) and you'll get the final 2 dialog options open.

Not quite sure if alignment has much to do with it.. my Renegade was about 80% last playthrough and I still had access to the final Paragon dialog.

..all my Shepards been imported from ME2 saves, if that makes any diff.

^This worked for me. Doing dialouge investigations on Mars, Thesia and Cerberus Base when speaking to TIM causes the option of a paragon/renagade persuation. If you successfuly do the peruation checks for each one, and your reputation is high enough during the final sequence, you should be able to persuade TIM to either suicde or rage hard so that you can shoot him before he finnishes off Anderson.

I've always been able to shoot him, but have never gotten the third Paragon/Renegade check enabled. They are always greyed out.
