Me - on my QMI - had duration on that BEFORE the nerf and it was a great build with a shotgun... now, relatively speaking, it's even better - try it sometime, a Graal with inferno ammo should do nicely, the 40% less damage is NOT the end of the world on a shotgun build - even less so when you've got a pocket full of Arc Grenades.

I've always taken Duration. (*gasp!* *shock!* *blasphemy!* *noob!*) And my characters are far from being weak or gimped due to my choice in gameplay.
In fact, for my Geth Infiltrator, the changes to Tactical Cloak made no difference to him, since I only took 4 ranks in TC... with the Duration evolution to start with. (the Hunter Mode changes affected him a bit though, but that's off topic) I think I now have 2 seconds less of cloak than before, but that's still quite enough.

You are only giving yourself 5 seconds. It's entirely possible to have 11ish, which is ages in this game.
And yes, I'm thrilled with the changes. I'm the ****hole who likes game balance, reports missile glitchers, and for the most part does not revive Krysae users.

I rarely use a sniper rifle with Infiltrator class.
Pick up a claymore or N7 Cruisaider and flank flank flank.
Now it is usless to revive fallen team mates, disable indoctornation boosters etc.
As mentioned above me, they should had looked into the power damage bonus/sniper rifle.
This is the problem, too many people complain about something that was fine being OP. Yet here we have a seriously OP Geth and just a few are complaining. I saw more threads on TC being nerfed than Geth being able to fire rockets across the map and through walls for example.
classes all seem just fine before they nerfed the TC. Heck i do not play infiltrator that much, im usually a soldier/eng/vangaurd. Heck, where are the threads on the horrible vangaurds that glitch through maps and keep falling? THOSE issues should be resolved first, THEN look into adjusting powers. The amount of times the biotic charge bugged out on me, forcing me to end a game is countless.
Like any other game, if you complain enough, devs take it too far, TC is useless now, thanks to you complainers. Or, you just hate being second, 3rd or 4th on the board and want those TC users to suffer? seriously? XP means nothing to me, credits (which the WHOLE squad shares) is where it is at.
Bioware, return TC back to how it was, it is fine! adjust something else in it.

5.2s is not enough to help the team to activate coms or other objectives. Neither is it enough to revive a team mate in the middle of a storm.
Not all player who us TC use a sniper rifle, i rarely use one, i pick up a shot gun (claymore or N7 Cruise).

2) If topping the scoreboard doesn't matter in the first place, because "we're all just here for the credits" or "its a coop game" or whatever your line of choice is, what does it matter that TC changes prevent you from topping the scoreboard- which does not even matter. ?
3) The idea that nerfers cried for TC reduction because they could never be #1 is hilarious on so many levels I couldn't possibly address it concisely. I absolutely agree that this was true for a small amount of vocal whiners, but you can say that about any aspect of any game. Most people wanted it done because they want a reason to play other classes and / or find easymode classes boring.

I think having to choose between duration and damage is a good thing, just don't really understand the SR-damage nerf. I thought Shotgun infiltrators to be a bigger concern on gold than SR-Infiltrators
