5.2 seconds is still plenty of time to be cloaked, and may i ask, do you level your geth infiltrator with 0 points in fitness? and then stay in hunter mode, by chance?

Try doing Silver until you no longer need an overpowered class to do Gold. I'm not trying to be elitist about it, but if you can't play Gold after these balance changes then you probably didn't belong there.

I like the new TC, now I can think if I care more about staying invisible (utility) or just go for damage spikes.

Just played a Human Infiltrator specced for duration. The key to playing smart (for me) is not using TC all the time, so you don't dump aggro on teammates all the time.

if you kill what is targeting when you cloak, ( the reason you probably cloaked) you wont dump aggro on them.
its people that shoot, ( pulling hate) cloak, and run away that unknowingly cause their teammates to get overwhelmed and die.

Saying that 80% damage bonus stinks is silly. I bet that your average cloak time was less than 5 seconds befor the nerf.

What is this? Everyone knows fitness is worthless for gold! :P

I still can't believe people are complaining about device objectives.  You at least have somewhat of an argument with reviving, but device objectives? If you can't do them with tactical cloak regardless of how long it lasts you fail.  Period.

All I have to say is that it really isn't so bad. Personally, I think BW was really smart in how they went about it. I also find it hilarious that some that called for the nerf are now crying so hard. They made their bed and it's fascinating to see them lying in it.

I use a Salarian specced for duration and he works fine. For the few who think that all pugs are filled with damage infiltrators why don't you take it upon yourself to switch to a duration infiltrator-problem solved.

TBH, I hate it. As with all player suggested nerfs, this one went too far. Damage and duration nerf? Sounds like a knee-jerk reaction to placate the crying nerf-herders. This sets a dangerous precedent that I've seen in other games. There will be more "leet player" suggested nerfs. The question is, what is going to be sacrificed next? My guess is BE's and bioitic users in general, because "they do too much damage".

If you're not good enough to play gold, then you play silver. If you're not good enough to play silver, then you play bronze. If you're not good enough to play bronze well, you probably stick to single player or play bronze until you get good enough at it.

There's nothing elitist about some of us saying "if you can't handle gold, then you shouldn't be there"

I dont belittle my friends for playing silver. But I don't expect them to play gold either. If you're a bronze player in a gold match complaining about these changes you have no reasons to complain.

Gold players who belong in gold will adapt and be fine. Take that as you will.

Feel free to call me elitist.

Not happy for 2 reasons:

- adjustments like this force people to skill in a certain way -> less viable options to skill your class

next logical step: ask infiltrator if duration is skilled -> kick from lobby if not

- After patches with distinct changes some people are happy (asked for it) but there are also some who don't like to play their class or the game anymore. Basically we lose players with every patch like this.

That's why I hope there will be less changes like this in the future.

TC passive duration evolution is a waste of time coz enemies see right through ur cloak. TC aggressive evolution is now less effective also.

Add that to the fact that Banshees/Primes/Atlas do not take headshot damage and there's not a lot of point playing Infiltrator anymore

 Yes, better quit the game because infiltrators are worthless.
Nevermind the fact that they're still the most powerful class in the game, you just can't faceroll with 10 seconds of cloak safety now.

It's ironic at the same time. Now they're belittling players over this but soon it's gonna bite them in the ass when their favourite classes/setups start getting nerfed. Then they will be all over forums complaing about it. Bioware are still new to the whole MP thing and they have no idea what can of worms they just opened.

BE's have been nerfed already and are fine.
Also, why should other classes be nerfed when there is no reason too.

Eh. I think they missed a bit. Instead of making your choice at rank 4 matter more, they should have made it matter less, IMO. It would have been better if they'd kept the base damage bonus, reduced the rank 4 damage evolution to 20-ish %, and made the duration around 8-9 seconds without extra duration, and 12-14 seconds with.

The main consequence I have noticed isn't that infiltrators have stopped topping the score boards, it is that I get revived less. Le sigh.

The problem is more easily solved by simply being more cautious around objectives and ignoring risky revives.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't see why I would hinder what I'm doing at least 90% of a match (damage) to help out in the handful of possible situations where 4 seconds of cloak is not enough.

I would liken it to the Geth Engineer's turret heal spec reducing power damage by 20%.

Honestly, I have noticed without the help of infiltrators on my team, gold isn't a cakewalk anymore (which it really isn't supposed to be in the first place). So yeah, i kinda miss breezing through golds with overpowered infiltrators clearing the way for everyone.

But these changes are definitely for the best. It's makes less people prone to gold and it makes other classes played for better builds and gold effectiveness.

I spec for duration and power use while cloaked. Mildly annoyed with the whole thing. Especially the "dumps aggro" claim. Was playing earlier today. Noticed some behavior from after I cloaked. Assault troopers continually shooting the place I had been before I cloaked. Oh, and a Guardian *did* turn away from me as I cloaked, but I do not believe any of my teammates were in the direction he turned. Shot him anyway so, I guess that "aggro" was a bit thwarted.

I noticed some "aggro dumping" while I was playing an engineer. Except no one was playing an infiltrator. Oddly enough, if anyone moves far enough away from an enemy, they'll go find the next closest player.
