I think the damage nerf was warranted, I disagree with the duration nerf. I still play mainly infiltrator and will continue to (as I enjoy it), but I think the duration nerf (if any) should have been half of what it was.

I would liken it to the Geth Engineer's turret heal spec reducing power damage by 20%.

Because 50% is exactly the same as 20%?

(edit ghah I'll get it right eventually)

I would liken it to the utility of the Geth Engineer's heal spec similarly reducing the Geth Engineer's offensive power damage.

*Since it will probably happen again. Yes, I understand that the heal spec reduces the turret's offensive firepower.

I have to say, I'm a little disappointed with the TC change. The point of infiltrators was to stealth behind the enemy flank  and deal massive damage, but now I have only 5 seconds. Good for closing the gap to a foe without being shot, but it eliminates the tactical decisions. Im not trying to rage, and the skill is still useful, but I feel it was a tad of sn "overnerf"

There are definitely some people overreacting to this nerd though. It doesn't ruin the class imo (though I only play silver ATM) but it makes the class more generic. I use my shotgun maybe 30% of the time as opposed to like 70% before. Now I rely a lot more on my pistol. Thoughts?

I wouldn't have minded the nerf so much if they'd kept it so that Primes/Banshees/Atlas took headshot damage. But they got rid of that AND nerfed TC damage bonus AND nerfed the Krysae. So after trying out the new TC post nerf, I'm thinking Bioware nerfed it a little too much. Instead of taking the 40% sniper rifle damage bonus down to 25% they should have only taken it down to 30%.

As for TC base duration dropping to 4 secs... thats ok i guess. U can go to 10 secs duration if u choose the correct evolution path. Only trouble is, once you do go the extra duration path, there's no freakin point coz every goddamn enemies sees right through ur cloak. Geth even go out of their way to kill the cloaked player while 3 other entirely visible players move around unchallenged Posted Image.

So all in all, not happy. Bioware need to tweek TC with a slight buff to get it balanced again. 25% sniper damage to 30% (originally it was 40%)

TBH, I hate it. As with all player suggested nerfs, this one went too far. Damage and duration nerf? Sounds like a knee-jerk reaction to placate the crying nerf-herders. This sets a dangerous precedent that I've seen in other games. There will be more "leet player" suggested nerfs. The question is, what is going to be sacrificed next? My guess is BE's and bioitic users in general, because "they do too much damage".

BE's have been nerfed already and are fine.
Also, why should other classes be nerfed when there is no reason too.

That's what people said about TC...then it got nerfed. What I'm saying is - don't get too comfortable, your favourite build might just get nerfed because "leet" (read unemployed) players want everything frustratingly difficult.

You know, what's really funny? That Krysae is still the best SR on the Infiltrator.
The Krysae still packs a huge punch on enemies, even with the big reduction of damage bonus on TC and the slight nerf of the weapon damage. It incinerates everything like crazy.

Many people started to cry out for nerfs because the old Infiltrator + Krysae was OP. It was indeed OP.
But Bioware did a big mistake during the nerf;
Instead of splitting the OP-Factor of Infiltrator and Krysae they just hit the Infiltrator. It's true the damage reduction was needed, but the duration nerf was complety overboard and needless.

Yes, BW, you failed to do the right choice. You nerfed the Infiltrator too much in every aspect of its being not fixing the main problem properly. The new Infiltrator is still playable, but the old Infiltrator would be also fine with the damage reduction. Right now, taking any of the trees makes the current class like a worse Soldier.

Do I think that this change was good? The answer is obvious, hell no. It shows, how easily influenceable the ME3 staff is. Removing the Krysae and a slight damage reduction at the base Damage would have been enough, to make the Infiltrator on a even level with other classes.

What bugs me about TC, and I notice it on my human infiltrator a lot more than on my Salarian or Geth Inf, is not so much the fact that it was nerfed, but the fact it still doesn't work the way it should. I do not appreciate my TC canceling the moment I start it just because I'm not hosting a match.
Bugfixes should come before nerfs.

Damage nerf I could stand but duration nerf is horrible.
