What are some of your dream companions for dragon age III? I would love to have either a dwarf  or human mercenary as a companion. That would be an awesome companion. I would also like it if he was amoral and motivated by self interest. I would also like a companion who was a real Templar. Not like Alistar but someone who actually was a strong supporter of the Chantry

Cullen as a companion/love interest is the one person I'm really hoping to get in DA3.

But aside from that I'd really like a companion who turns out to be one of the main antagonists. For example, you pick them up along the way and they seem really nice, but regardless of if you're nice or nasty to them they'll screw you over and put you and the rest of your companions at risk, perhaps even going as far as seriously injuring your love interest who could actually die if you didn't do certain things throughout the game.

That would be awesome!  :)    Kinda like Yoshimo in Baldur`s gate 2.
I also think that it should be easier for the companions to leave/die. I think it`s kinda lame that the only way your companions can die, is by attacking the PC(you)  I have heard something about a special mission in Mass Effect where some of the companions that join you are killed. I would love that in DA3. Maybe the companion/s sacrifice themselves to save the PC.

I would like Cassandra as a companion and more of Tallis. Cullen and Sigrun would be nice too.

The antagonist idea sounds great, especially if it is not like the companion betrayed the protagonist but instead things force the two to fight each other.

Edit: I just saw this poll
http://social.biowar...25/polls/35923/
Carver/Bethany would make a great companion, considering the different possibilities.

I'd like a whole new set of companions and I love tje idea of one of them turning on you no matter what. A female Tal Vashoth would be cool, actually having any kossith companion again would be great.

Yeah, like that but he/she wouldn't be apologetic and actually turns out to be a real bastard. Kinda like what happens in Jade Empire with Master Li.

Tame ghast companion. :P

I'd settle for a templar from the Tevinter Imperium, though. I think that'd be an interesting twist on an old favourite.

As stated by Wifflebottom I think that a female Tal Vashoth would be pretty sweet. I've also heard that Tallis was a pretty cool character so I'd like to see her(havent gotten the dlc, not sure if its worth it just for her)

Cassandra would be pretty cool too. I'd love to see Sigrun again but I could've swore that after you beat Awakening it said that she returned to the Deep Roads to join her fallen Legion of the Dead members. I could be wrong though, afterall it's been a long time since I've played Awakening. But if she's not dead I'd LOVE to have Sigrun. She was one of my favorite characters. And maybe Valenna, if I remember correctly(which I probably don't lol) she was pretty cool.

If only your companions can back stab you like how Yoshimo did Baldur's gate 2 then yeah am up for that

Out of all the companions, she and Varric are the only ones guaranteed to survive. (Sebastian, too, but he's DLC.)

Wow, I like a lot of the ideas posted already, like the female Tal Vashoth or the Tevinter Templar. I'm guessing a Grey Warden and a Seeker are already in the works. Personally, I'd really like a female dwarf companion who's kind of the big sister.
If I wanted an existing character, I'd probably say Cullen or Conner (if he survived). Someone like Aveline, too, but maybe not her exactly.
I really liked Fenris, too, but I'd want someone a little more open to changing their mind (Yes, I want to bring back the ability to harden companions :)).

Agreed! Elven archer babe is a most definite! I'm like the only one who didn't like Merrill, so I felt like I didn't get a female elf in my party at all. Another Qunari would be very awesome! I want to learn a bit more about the Qun. :D

Well you all know in each Dragon Age game there are the two companions that always bicker back and forth with each other. For companions I would like to see a Templar/Seeker and a Blood mage. And I mean a a true blood mage not some unlocking specialty a true hardcore blood mage. As Anders said in MotA, "Think of the conversation!"

I think DA3 will take place years after DA2, so all original characters becomes old, they won't be companions.

I want Sandal as companion, and he's mature at that time, with beard

oghren after awekening just really flopped, so it would be awesome if we some him again. zevran being zevran, we've gotta see him agin sometime soon. maybe sandal as tthe first dwarf mage? bigger things are obviously planned for sandal. bodahn said they were goin to orlais and there have been rumors about da3 in orlas, so take that as you will. i also beleive isabela isn't done yet

New characters would be nice. You'd think Thedas would be big enough for every major event of the Dragon Age not to involve the same few dozen people.

I'd be happier with 2 or 3 companions rather than 9 or 10.

Not too wacky, connected to the location of the game rather almost all foreigners.

Cullen and Cassandra for the familiarity. I also think we don't know enough about them and they are interesting characters.

With the Templar and Seeker roles filled, I'd also want a dwarf and perhaps a Magister or hedge mage.
I want my companions to clash at times but be able to work together, sort of like an Alistair/Morrigan relationship.

I want conflicting sides in my party and also neutral companions who don't really care about the war and have their own reasons for joining you.
