The only "supporting" bit for IT I could find was the weird mechanical intake of breath sound Shepard makes when Anderson contacts him upon arrival to the Citadel.

here is some proff that there is no IT (by the way, I do belive in IT. but it don't look like it's going anywhere).
On Thessia the Prothean VI was telling Shepard almost everything. But once K Lang approaches it shuts up cause it senced an indoctrinated presance. If Shep was being indoctronated I don't think the Prothean VI would have told Shep anything.

i thought the weird noise when shepard wakes up on the citadel was pretty weird. was that just your ear radio or some adrenaline rush thing?

I really can't see that similarity as evidence of any kind. I think Shepard's transportation before EC supports IT more than what we have now, because you kinda just end up there. Maybe it's similar because it looks good to have a projectile object land forcefully like that. Could it be IT? I guess it could, but it could also be SO MANY OTHER THINGS.

I don't understand why everyone thinks this must be a gunshot. Maybe Shepard got hit debris blown to bits by harb's beam. Maybe the beam injured her flesh and then she tore something with her movement, and started bleeding. Her armor is not only burnt but also broken and scratched up. The same thing could have happened to her flesh.

Perhaps we are shown the shot to show just how badly Shepard is injured. It signals to both us and Shepard that there is a good chance Shepard is going to die very soon from her injuries, thus making the situation and the need to find a resolution (via the crucible) much more desperate.

1. that maybe true but everything ever seen by public for the idoctriation is in the mass effect lore, the games themselves, comic books, and books

3. have you fogot the mass effect lore control and synthesis are everything about reapers oh wait, with EC control is God Shepard, Synthesis having a perfect world with no problems wats so ever. If people no the lore of mass effect no one controls reapers they control you, synthesis you are a person that everything is perfect oh wait look at saren.

I'd love to be able to answer those questions, but as they're so incoherently phrased, it's impossible with precision to pinpoint any particular reason why a catch-all theory like IT would apply to these seeming-problems. With reference to where the beam begins, however, that depends on which way you're looking at the galaxy in the first place. Why exactly though, if we allow IT to run, would this mean that Shep is indoctrinated? Is the idea that the Reaper have revealed themselves by making a clumsy mistake or something? Also, it's not the case that a 'gunshot wound out of nowhere' appears, it's simply that we don't see the precise circumstances under which Shepard is wounded. We don't see prcisely how Shepard got a bloody nose either, but that doesn't men that Marauder Shields whacked up his TC and smacked us one. What makes you think that it's a gunshot wound, particularly?

Does anyone know what the hell was going on in the scene with TIM and Anderson, where at certain points there are black wisps at the edges of the screen? At first, when I saw those, I thought that maybe those were physical representations of the Reapers trying to indoctrinate Shepard, so my IT hopes were alive. Then, Star Kid showed up and I knew IT was dead.

I believe it just shows that they are under direct control from TIM's experiments in control.

I believe it just shows that they are under direct control from TIM's experiments in control.

This. It's to visually illustrate that TIM's attempting to control them. Difficult to see how else they could illustrate that point, I think.

That was TIM controling Shep and Andy with the the stuff cerberus was developing at sanctuary. that's my guess anyway. that was my thought the first time I played it, before the IT cult sprang up. that's my thought on it now.

Blame Bioware. They didn't definitively kill it enough with the EC, so it continues to exist.
