I will give you Diablo three as a real choice only cause I haven't played it and it looks awesome. People simply saying know just don't want to pay attention to the unique and incredibly realistic things Bioware did.
ME3 again in the running for game of the year.

Even though I played the Hell out of it I'm not even sure I can say I 'Liked' ME3.
Hated the main story arc *cerberus and space ghost*
I don't particularly feel anything towards the core crew.
In hind sight I only played the game to close out ME1 and ME2's experiences.

Don't think so. Bioware fixed a great deal, but they still never admitted the first ending was abysmal, and the sheer amount of fetch quests as an excuse for "side missions" was horrible. The Mass Effect series has a great story (which the EC reminded us of), but ME3 is not GOTY material.

MMO's never reall get proper consideration for game of the year. Black ops 2 and Assasins creed 3 all have some serious sequelitus issues.

ok I'll say it I don't believe it will win. Honestly I think it'll be Diable 3 or AC3...maybe black ops 2 but i think ME had alot of good things going for it that we overlooked because of the original ending.

There's a possibility of it being GOTY but only due to nearly no competition this year. I loved the game up until the ending and now the ending is fixed (IMO). People, Give Bioware a brake.

Fetch quest was such a small part of the game and optional. Without the terrible ending most people would not have complained about such things. Remember the microscope the game was put under. Such harsh critique is only fair if you impose it on the other contenders.

The ending went from horrible to barely passable. The logic and narrative is still crap. I liked the rest of the game, but no, just no way in hell.

I feel like D3 is overhyped. All I see on the blizzard forums are people complaning about how the project lead * jay wilson* destroyed the franchise with it.

So when ME3 deserves a GOTY ... Than I deserve also a GOTY ... I have a pretty good concept for an open world game in mind placed in present time ... I'd say recovery of the year. I don't think any other game has gone from that bad to acceptable the way ME3 has.

The ending went from completely unstatisfactory to more fufilling than most endings we get in this industry. It's also more varied. We get at least 5 legit endings. Most games you are lucky to get 2.

Diablo 3 is a cluster. Always online single player, it didn't even work at launch, people who bought the game new were stuck with the trial version for 3 days, it's basically a dumbed down HD Diablo 2, and worst of all the entire game is just a vessel for the real money auction house.
Blops 2 might as well be called Call of Duty '12 since they release a new one every year and Guild Wars 2 better cure cancer with all the hype it's getting. You know another online focused PC rpg that had massive hype? SWTOR.

With the EC? Yes....it has my vote....for the first half of the year....but we still have Halo 4(despite it being popular, it hasn't been a GOTY candidate for years. The new one may turn some heads I'm thinking though)
