Most definately a candidate, although that was a given even before the EC.

Now the EC has elevated this game to GOTY.  No doubt.  It would have been much more special if only the original release had ended this way.

ME3 was rushed. It doesn't deserve GOTY.

If ME3 was released with the EC and the ending controversy didn't happen, then I would like to say it deserves GOTY.

But the whole thing just left a bad taste in people's mouths. The fix came way too late.

I never thought I'd say this.....but the EC helped me rediscovered the beauty of this game again.....its an emotional tour de force......something I couldn't appreciate with the original endings.....

Idk if it will win....but if it weren't for the original endings and the backlash, there's no doubt in my mind it would win GOTY


Thankfully the EC endings tie everything up perfectly and make the game worth playing again

Personally, I'm hoping Borderlands 2 will be GOTY material. If it can't beat out ME3 that will be disappointing.

once AC3 comes out, though, ME might have a run for it's money

I hate to say it but I wouldn't vote for ME3 either. There are too many bad memories attached to it and the glitches are really annoying. I get a bittersweet feeling in my gut every time I play it. I'm rooting for The Last of Us, assassins creed 3, far cry 3(hmm maybe not), and halo4.....maybe even Hitman:Absolution.

Mass Effect 3 isn't even award worthy, let alone Game of the Year. The whole ending controversy screwed that up big time. There is no recovering from that in terms of what the game deserves as far as awards go. It's already too late. It should win the worst ending award for prior to Extended Cut DLC in my opinion.
