So, many agree the EC was a big improvement, but did it rekindle your love or recapture the magic of the series??

For me it did not. Everything about me 1 was just magical from the music to the story to the characters to the universe. It felt fresh and original. Mass effect 2 was just badass and creative and ultimately the best game of all time with among the best chatacters ever. The ec was good and Im grateful to have it but I still feel the end of this trilogy shouldve/couldve been EPIC. I mean among the best things weve ever seen in gaming history. I have plenty ideas myself.....it couldve been done but it wasnt, so now lets all just hope for reunion LI dlc. Share your thoughts. Did it bring back the magic? Did anyone fall in love all over again?

It did for me too. Yah, there are still a few points I could quibble about, but the EC was plain badass. Loved it.

I have to say no. The EC just put a layer of fresh on a crumbling house. Nothing of substance was fixed, to me it actually highlighted how technically poorly executed the ending was done in the first place. The narrative and logic of the endings was not fixed. I am unlikely to play single player again in any serious way.

Narrative was fixed. Logic is up to interpretation.

It did for me, I mean, I see now the endings were meant to be bittersweet. Sometimes in wars, you have to make certain sacrifices to achieve victory. I'm glad to know that a reunion between Tali and my Shepard is likely.

I would say it removed the sour taste the endings left in my mouth.

As lame as it sounds, hearing Shepard's defiant "I don't believe you!" when talking to the catalyst was almost enough to redeem the ending in my eyes.

Almost...

No. EC made the ending a bit better but it did not rekindle my love for Mass Effect.

I gotta wonder why people are here if they don't love Mass Effect 3.

Yup, that Liara scene during the beam run was the cake, everything else was much needed icing.

It was a personal issue that i never revealed on the forums, how Liara's last words had been the very butch * its been an honor*. Now thats fixed! *I am yours* last words whispered as the normandy pulls away was so right!

It was defintely an improvement. It did not salvage the game or the series for me. I hope in time I'll get over it. Thanks to Bioware for listening and giving us the EC, at any rate.

Let me guess mmmh, maybe coz they spent money and time on it? Maybe coz they wanted a "REAL END" to an apic trilogy? Just guessing.

My faith in Bioware has been restored enough to buy story DLC, and will be even mores if we see some slides/videos extra on the ending if we complete other story DLC (I don't mean that they'd rewrite it, but have their influence shown).

Whether or not I buy new games is not known, depends upon how Bioware act from here on.

Definitely an improvement, but still not as epic as it should have been.
