No, not at all.DatFeel wrote...
Isn't the main point of this game is to play to get credits to unlock new toys to use?
And idk why there has to be a petition for every change Bioware makes to the game. Give it a rest guys. Once the new mp dlc is released and if it has new characters, then you'll get character cards again. I don't see what the big deal is and this is coming from a player who liked to promote all the time.

Honestly, I try to understand your point view, but I'm incapable of it. With 30 different kits the gameplay is hardly stale (well, characterwise at least). There are also reset power cards, if you really want to try new build. Leveling from 1 to like 8 is a matter of one 15 minutes game, that's not a lot. One would think that enjoying powers at its fullest comes from playing on lvl 20, but for you it does not... How is game at lvl 20 stale, and at lvl 12 when you have half the synergy and less options entertaining? Why can't you just switch between characters if you get bored of one?Oz not Ozzy wrote...
I think you've misunderstood part of what I've been saying:Pitznik wrote...
@Oz not Ozzy
You don't like gameplay at 20, you don't like gameplay at 1. You don't like not having powers, but you also don't like having powers maxed. You don't like not having the synergies, but you also don't like having all the synergies working 100%. You sir, are hard to please.
I like working towards having the characters at 20 with all the synergies working properly.
When I get there I usually play them that way for a few games
Then I promote them all so they don't get stale and start all over again.
When I do that, I like to skip past the early stages that I find to be tedious and not playing the character class properly. Exactly how high I boost the characters depends on how the character cards dropped for me. One or two might end up being boosted quite high if it took a while for other(s) to drop sufficiently.
Hard to please? Nope... the game was doing a fantastic job of it before this change was implemented.... I hadn't changed the disk in my Xbox for many weeks until I swapped the two ME3 disks around in order to play the new EC DLC yesterday.
Not having silver and gold character cards dropping is just making me choose between two different types of tedium... before I needed a couple of gold cards per class... now I'll need around 8 blue for each if my mental arithmetic is right. That's 48 recruit packs... or 240,000 credits... i.e. four SPs... or the better part of three PSPs.

It brings a tear to my eye. I guess the game is going to stay good.
I already voted, and it was no.

Removed character cards after all appearance options have been unlocked (and get rare ammo instead) is one of the best multiplayer changes.

This thread is beautiful. I thought I wasn't going to like it. But every page only has one or two people supporting the OP. Everyone else is against.

I am glad to see so many sane people take a stance against the madness of this thread.

1)Buy veteran packs instead of PSP's,
2)Get character cards.
3)?????
4)Profit
Uncommon character cards are now replaced by LVL 2 consumables
I got a uncommon char card yesterday that I already have, so uncommon are still coming, probably less than before, but still...

Always hated spending an hour earning credits for a PSP (when I was playing Silver) opening it up, and discovering I've basically gotten nothing.

For those who would like to see character cards return in a form like they were a few days ago please add you +1 to the topic. Every reply will be taken to be an indication of your support for the return of charcter cards. Let us really demonstrate to Bioware that there is a majority of players out their who do promote, do use the cards and want them back.
Well I want character training cards as I like to promote. With my play style I always challenge myself with every character and class so when I promote I then play that same character/class wtih a totally different build for fun. In the sense of character cards I think Bioware misunderstood what we were asking for.
What we wanted Bioware is not for the character cards to go away or be lessened. What we wanted is that if we have a fully maxed out level 20 character/class with all appearance options ....do not give us a character training card for that class/character but give us one for another character/class that we dont have at level 20. Character training cards helps those who are constantly promoting their characters/classes to try out new things. It is truly dissapointing purchasing a Premium Spectre pack and getting nothing but consumables........... Its like paying for a much higher priced Jumbo equipment pack. It just makes no sense at all.
Again, Bioware....what we wanted was not to remove the frequency of the character training cards we just wanted it to be INTELLIGENT. This way we would get character training cards for those characters/classes that are not maxed out at level 20. We know you listen so thank you in advance but although this change was well intentioned I think there was some kind of miscommunication or this detail was not expressed correctly. We dont want less character training cards.....we just want the way the store gives them out to be intelligent.
One more thing, If I was getting Premium Spectre packs that helped upgrade my ultra rares also that would be great but as of now.....every time I spend 99k on a premium specter pack all I get is consumables.......... My goal now has really just been to get my ultra rares maxed but..... after millons and millions of credits its taking forever....I may never get there as multiplayer in this game (as much as I love it) has a shelf life also. This is coming from a person who has mostly all of my weapons at X. ....Again,,,thanks Bioware and good job on making the packs mostly better but....it still needs one more step to be a little more intelligent. Besides that....great job and thank you for an excellent game I enjoy greatly with my friends.

quit whining like a school girl and get over it. the change is staying, bioware ain't going to put things back to the way they were. if you're too lazy to play a character class from 1-20 and then promote, you don't need to be playing at all. character cards are USELESS except for customization.the exp i get from one gold card, i can easily make in a full game of silver. quit bi*ching, grow up, and drop the subject. all i see on this forum is people like you whining about how something ain't set up right, or some change ain't how you wanted, or something needs nerfed. it's getting old. forums are meant for INFORMATION not whining and crying because nothing is how a particular person wants things.
