I would support a change where if you have a character under lvl 20, it then adds character cards back into the pool. That way if you don't want character cards, wait until all your characters are level 20; those that like to promote will still be able to get them for easy xp.

I rather get ome consumable then see another four dozen of psp's with 4 ccards, i will never get the harrier with my nonexisting luck (i had nearly all rares at x before i saw my first revenant, and even then i got a dozen ccards before i got a gun), so at least i will have some neat ammo to make the slaughter that much sweeter
Srsly man, how could someone love to see ccards on end while theres still gear and guns out (everyone else seems to be getting, stop taking my harriers people!)

quit whining like a school girl and get over it. the change is staying, bioware ain't going to put things back to the way they were. if you're too lazy to play a character class from 1-20 and then promote, you don't need to be playing at all. character cards are USELESS except for customization.the exp i get from one gold card, i can easily make in a full game of silver. quit bi*ching, grow up, and drop the subject. all i see on this forum is people like you whining about how something ain't set up right, or some change ain't how you wanted, or something needs nerfed. it's getting old. forums are meant for INFORMATION not whining and crying because nothing is how a particular person wants things.
In an effort to foster intelligent dialogue (and punctuation), I would like to point out that the change happened, in the first place, because of many, many threads of people "whining like a school girl" who could not "get over it" complaining about the character cards to begin with. The cahracter cards are a nice little bonus for some, and an annoyance for others. It would be nice to see a balance between the two.
I choose to believe that if everyone has the chance to voice their opinions, rather than be shut down by on-liine bullying of people telling them to "quit whining", then BioWare will have the chance to review and strike right balance.

NO. Absolutely NOT. NO INFINITY. Is this topic a joke? Are you serious? I never, ever, ever, ever ever EVER, want to recieve even one character card for those multiplayer characters that I've already maxed the appearence options for. That was the most ridiculous thing. NEVER AGAIN.

Obviously... So, with all due respect, stop trying to understand and just accept the fact that there are people, like myself, that get our enjoyment from the game in different ways to yourself... and I guess that's precisely my point.Pitznik wrote...
Honestly, I try to understand your point view, but I'm incapable of it. <SNIP>
Before, with the character cards always dropping, the store system lent itself better to those that liked to promote their characters. Now, it lends better to those who choose to leave their characters maxed out. My point is that there are ways that it could lend towards both approaches, and that I feel that Bioware should make a further adjustment to that end.

After reading a few of these posts there seems to be alot of crying from non promoters thats part of the game is to promote your characters

Is there a none of the above? The randomness of how things are unlocked made me stop playing. Nothing beats getting stuff you already have unlocked, when there's things you do need. It's like playing a MMO minus all the fun.

Anyway, the simple reason is that the character cards detract from the chances of winning things desired by other players, such as weapons or rare character cards. In essence you can promote a large amount of characters without needed to play them at all thanks to the old system, which removes and fundamentally breaks the promote system.

Not using ammo on gold is a horrible idea, on silver and bronze I see it to be pointless since everything dies when you sneeze on it but on Gold I use ammo equipment every match I can. Mobs hit harder, more accurate and when you have 4 phantoms chasing you not having ammo powers or any advantage you can is a pain. You need some fire power to dispatch them.
