I doesn't take long to level up characters in this game. Not having character card spam gives you a chance to walk through your build from level 1 to 20 from bronze to silver to gold, trying different things along the way. The ammo is a lot more useful and much less painful than useless character cards.

Having way too much fun with all the extra ammo powers (that I was always too cheap to use because of the limited supply)... At N7-1,500 I dont need or want anymore rank/SP war assets.
Sorry for those who do like to promote, but I much prefer the ammo consumables.

You have to experience something to become more experienced with it. If you are not experiencing said thing you are not becoming more experienced with it. Therefore, if you are not experiencing something you should not be getting experience points for it. That's the way experience works see.

Just curious - why do you rarely use equipment? Equipment is orsum! (This is a genuine question.)Veedrock wrote...

When I bought PSPs in search of Ultra-Rares, I was at least gaining N7 rank when I pulled character cards (what I did was save up a few million credits, then promote and splurge so my classes would be adequately leveled up again for playing). Now I'm not gaining anything, I rarely even use equipment so the level IV items are useless to me.
A good compromise I heard in another thread was having character cards show up only if the class is below level 20. So non-promoters would still mean ammo, while people like me could still gain experience we desire. I'm unsure if this is something that can be done with a hot-fix to the store or if it would require a patch, but Bioware should consider it either way.
But my two pennorth: - 255. Why should we get XP from anything but playing the game?
PS I recommend for anyone who promotes regularly to hold their noses and play a couple of games on Bronze. It's a total hoot and bosh: level 10 in half-an-hour.

There are two rational ways to make sure both parties are happy.
One being, only stop CC from appearing if the appearances are all maxed out AND they are level 20.
The other being, a seperate Character Card pack.
Either will work, and either will make both types of players happy. Be polite guys, everyone is a player here, if you don't have something constuctive to add to the conversation, please keep it to yourself. We should be helping make this game enjoyable for EVERYONE, not just ourselves, there is always a solution.

What's rational about gaining experience for something you are not experiencing?jerrinehart wrote...
I think most people on here are allergic to rational conversation.
That said, this was what I originally proposed as a solution for character cards. Though, my above point trumps it in my mind.

I'm confused by your question, I was speaking about people just blinding insulting one another and not adding anything of merit to the conversation or solution to the issue.
The question you asked is something else entirely obviously, not sure the connection, but I will try to answer. I am not sure, all I know is this is the way Bioware made the game and this is what people are used to while playing it for the last 4 months, while I applaud the effort to remove CC, as my manifest would suggest, as I HATE getting CC, (spent over 5 million credits this month on nothing but them) They should have took into consideration there are people who are actually enjoy them, and such, allow those players to continue doing so if they so choose.
To answer your question more directly, if you don't agree with getting exp with the cards, then that is another subject altogether and maybe we should be asking them to remove exp with the cards, and just give the customize options. But as it stands now, they do give exp, and the people that want to get them in packs, should be able to if they want to.
Anyway, bit off topic, hopefully Bioware realizes they have a player base that enjoys promoting, it is after all a part of the game they implemented, and hopefully we can get this addressed sooner than later.

Yeah, that's basically what I am saying. Character cards should not reward experience. If your not experiencing something you shouldn't be getting experience for it. It seems BioWare simply added the experience aspect to cards as they could not think of anything else to give in place of URs. And CCs that provide nothing but nothing (which they still did for most) wouldn't satisfy. They now figured out something better to put in place of URs.
This has made it so you now don't get experience without experiencing the thing you want experience for, and I think that's a good thing.

You do know you can get about 19 cards from recruit packs for less credits than the 2 cards you get from one PSP.
