Hmmm.

A list of people who are offering no actual discussion, and are just putting their names down in support of a cause. What.. Does that sound like.. OH WAIT, THAT SOUNDS LIKE A PETITION.

And Bioware doesn't care about petitions.

ok i have ignored this topic since its inception.. because of the words of the OP.

"Every reply will be taken to be an indication of your support for the return of charcter cards."

so for all of you who have posted "-1" and "-1834057162210957610" etc.. you are supporting the OP.

you got trolled. Hardcore.

The OP is the one who got trolled by Bioware, because this WHOLE thread, and every single "+1" to his little list, will do absolutely nothing. Bioware does not recognize petitions. They recognize discussion.

i will support character cards dropping for classes that are not lvl 20.

this will give promoters a way to "buy" exp and remove the character cards for those of us that dont promote...

like me.

For those who would like to see character cards return in a form like they were a few days ago please add you +1 to the topic. Every reply will be taken to be an indication of your support for the return of charcter cards. Let us really demonstrate to Bioware that there is a majority of players out their who do promote, do use the cards and want them back.

NO

AS someone who has promoted 46 times, this is bad idea. The new format is MUCH better! You can get just as much XP from recruit packs (if blue cards =12,500 XP each for very few credits), or the same XP as two rares in a PSP for less than half the cost at around 40,000 credits (if blue cards = 62,500 XP).

What do you gain by going back to the old format? Nothing. You buy 1 pack instead of 8-20. It's merely laziness.

So you want the community to suffer from worthless cards that won't help them or their team succeed as easily during gameplay because it's an incovienence to you? Wow, you sir, are selfish.

I'd rather have usable ammo, than cards that give me or anyone else no real benefit. Seriously....a rare gold CC gives me about the same XP as a silver match...but does it give me 30,000 credits as well? Nope. I'd rather have ammo that can help me make a gold match easier to earn more credits.

the people in this thread aren't getting trolled cause nobody in this thread cares what op wants. People who don't bother to read it or say that 'every post in this thread means you want them' are the ones getting trolled.

subtract a big number

the only reason to promote is to compete on the leaderboards. it's the same for everyone else so the competition is the same. it's pointless

one of the best things Bioware has done so far....and people continuously make threads about how they hate it.

I can't believe how many of you fail to see the usefulness of character cards.

Promotion isn't just a leaderboard competition thing, it's also for respeccing a character. Sure you could use your "Power Reset" cards but those are consumables, they will run out and some people have reported finding it difficult to get any.

It would be more beneficial to promote and buy a few SPs or PSPs to get some character cards and at the same time take a chance in getting an Ultra-rare.

Given the repetitive nature of this co-op game, some people find it annoying having to play several games to re-level-up their characters.

What I personally would love to see is Character Cards only being dropped when you don't have all classes maxed at 20.

NOOOOO

-1

a) You promote, then PLAY to get "experience" -- what a new concept, is it? 1 bronze game => level 6
B) If you prefer free level-ups buy a bunch of recruit packs they give you 62500 XP cards, you get more XP/credit than before buying PSPs.

So you still have 2 perfectly fine solutions!

You clearly did not read my post. You're not losing ANYTHING with the new system.

If you want to play this game, play it. If you don't, then stop. How is it annoying to have to replay a character for 20 minutes to get them to 10? Personally, I don't like just looking at my awesome level 20's all day. I prefer to you know... play a match.

I'm pretty sure the OP is joking.

If not, well.. There's always someone who complains about something.

EDIT: Just realized he/she wasn't. If so, too bad. Companies cater to the masses. It's logical and a smart choice. Your petition will not cause a rollback.

What if I would prefer to level up myself and still get consumables even if I have non lvl 20 character?

There's an alternative solution to accomodate that possibility as well... two different types of PSPs.. one with CC's and one without.

That I wouldn't mind at all.

You're just trying to complicate something that is very simple and working great for absolute majority of players, for no good reason at all.

Key word.... majority.

Firstly... how do you know the majority are in favour of this change?

The majority of ME3 players of aren't even members of this forum, let alone actively voicing opinion here, either way. The majority of players on my XBL friends list are actually against character cards disappearing. How is your sample of the community speaking for the change any more relevant than mine?  (HINT: Statistically speaking....
Neither is truly representative because of the nature of how the members of the samples have been determined.)

I just assume that people on BSN aren't some special group with different needs than anyone else, so I think that is also how it looks in general population - most hate characters hards, few like them. Of course I can be wrong, but I at least have something to base on, while your XBL friends didn't speak for themselves, and I suppose there is less of them than people posting in this thread.

Oz not Ozzy wrote...
For example, I don't happen to agree with keeping characters at level 20... I tried it for a while and the game started to get stale for me... so I started to promote regularly. Sometimes, when I get all classes back to 20, I keep them for a while, sometimes I don't, but never for long. Nevertheless, I could (and still can) see the merit in the argument against character cards popping for a class that is at 20. It was logical and so I supported a change to that, in theory.

What I do not support is the way that change has been enacted. There is at least one solution that will keep everyone happy (at least to a reasonable degree).... but that is not the system currently in operation.

If you don't like gameplay at lvl 20, you're free to promote and play at lower lvls. But you're not ok with that either, since you want to promote but don't want to lvl up...  So you don't like lvl 20, but you don't like lvl 1, even if one silver game (16 minutes? 18?) can make you 7 or 8. May I ask, why you promote then? If your only goal is to see the number grow, I'm really sorry, but I can't take it seriously, this number is just a number, nothing else. It doesn't mean anything at all.
