In the Dragon Age; Origins teaset trailer featured on Alistair's page, there is an image I feel would make a wonderful wallpaper to be produced (possibly by a fan, or Bioware themselves).
At the end of the trailer, it cuts to ascreen with Alistair's name and a foreground image of Alistair in mid srike, and a faded image of him in the background.
If I had the technical know-how, i'm strip the image form the video for use, as it is wonderful!

Any ideas if such a one exisits?

I haven't seen any Alistair wallpaper, but I definitely have hunted for some of Al and Zev. There are plenty of Morrigan wallpapers for men, but we get Random Bloody Guy. If you find anything, I'd love to hear about it.

strippin that image from that video is not the problem. the problem might be, that the video is not in such a high quality that the stripped image would be useful for a wallpaper actually.



you'd need to have a HD version of that trailer then I could make you a wallpaper in a heartbeat

There seems to be a good copy on Youtube, but I have no idea how to obtain it from online.. I want the video also for my phone... and to have in general...

If I knew what software I needed to obtain a copy of the video from online in good quality I would. If I also could find the software I once had for stripping the sound files fomr videos I'd be happy too!

I found there is a program that can strip out the video in very, very high res, but no idea how to take the still image form it.



It woudl just make such the greatest wallpaper ever in my opinion! It really shows him well...

Here is an archive with the audio extracted and the image blown up to 1920 resolution (which should scale down to other resolutions fine).

The source video wasn't that high in resolution, so the detail isn't the best, but if someone knows of an HD source I could do better.  As it is now, it's sort of a softer brushed sort of image.

I'm out of work during this lovely holiday season so I've got plenty of time to find what people want/need.

Also got a custom built PC with plenty of audio/video hardware in it for working on sounds and images.

I think my soundbite thread is on like page 5 now or something.  I gotta update it again.

Up close it's pretty bad looking, but from 5 feet away it may not look too bad if you want to use up 20 sheets of paper to print it and have good skill with tape.

CRAP!  Here's a new file, as the old one was on A4 size paper and not US Letter which I'm guessing most here would prefer.....

US letter? Hmm...I'm Dutch so A4 would work fine for me I guess. Only Im going to be totally single if I'd really print it out and hang it up

Uses 16 sheets, though you could only print 12 and get most of it with only a little cut off the bottom.
