EC: 9/10 for Destroy, 8/10 for Synthesis, 8/10 for Control, 7/10 for Reject.

I enjoyed the new endings immensely.

Synthesis - 1 (most screwed up ending)
Destroy - 8.5 (again same deduction for slideshow)
Refuse - 4 (could have done better)

Hmm, not sure yet. Have gane back and gotten all three endings - certainly an improvement. I still don't think that this is the end the series deserved, and it was a huge missed opportunity from Bioware to really push interactive storytelling on to the next level.

At the minute I would say:
Pre EC: 1
Post EC: 6.5

I can live with them now, and I may go back and play through the series again, but there will always be this nagging feeling that Bioware completely missed a trick here. And such an obvious one.

If Bioware is reading this - if you ever try something this epic again (a trilogy where previous game choices matter) please realise that the culmination of all of these choices, the ending, is hugely important! If you had given us a variety of endings based on past choices (as well as those in the last game) that would have been a huge. Thats what the fans were rightfully expecting (after all your PR talk during the series' run).

Also, plan your story better guys. I know certain things can change due to fan feedback but for the main story arc, plot that thing from the beginning. Make sure its epic and satisfyig in the planning stage. And stick to it. If you don't, and constantly change, you end up with juge plot holes, devaluing the previous games and....ah hell, you should know all this now anyway.

I just have seen two and read about the other two:

The original endings made me not want to play ME1 and ME2... after the new ones (which arent' perfect) I actually am looking forward to it!

 i think if they make a ME4. the destroy ending will most likely be cannon


Didn't they do something with Dragon Age, where you can play as your character if he/she lived, or as a new one if he/she died? I only played the first Dragon Age...20 times...so I can't remember if that was with Dragon Age 2, or one of the DLC's...that expansion or whatever it was.

I bet they'd do something like that, but it'd probably cheapen the relationship with the existing characters. No one could replace Shepard.

Still, Shepard's story deserves a much better ending yet. I personally hope the series continues, with Destroy ending as canon, and with known characters. (too much change if we must restart a new story with all new protagonists, I think)
