I think the important thing that the EC brought to the table that was vastly missing in the original endings was a sense of hope.
The ending of Destroy left me hopeful. And as a major theme in the series it was there in force and thus redeemed whatever bad story that existed. I still think synthesis is silly and control weirds me out a little, but there was hope and that counts for at least 5 points.

Now 6/10 for all 3 available endings (Destroy, Refuse, Control) I'd give 7 or 8 but Shepard still don't exactly argue the Starkid's moronic logic, so total points for the ending are going down.

That's not including Synthesis, as the only way I am willing to accept it as being a joke ending kinda like dog/aliens endings in Silent Hill. 0/10 for it.
