Hi there! Most of you who are having DLC problems have either purchased or received the game from overseas.
There are a few annoying steps involved in fixing the issues but please bear with me as we go through the process of fixing your DLC:
(These steps assume you already have a Dragon Age Social Network account :P)
=============================================================
Glossary

psn = Playstation Network (how you connect online on your PS3)

=============================================================
"WELCOME TO THE 9 STEPS TO FREEDOM"

(1) Find out where your game was purchased. Hong Kong, Australia, Poland, USA, etc.

**HINT**
It has come to my attention how to locate the particular psn account required for the process to work. With the Redemption codes, just to the bottom right of the last part of the serial, the following is an example of what you should see  "BDA-HKPS3KEY".  "[THIS IS VARIABLE TO THE CONTENTS CODE. EG Blood Dragon Armour has BDA. Shale has SHALE]   -  HK <---------   [represents the country or region's code]  PS3KEY". The region then found is where the key is valid! As shown the HK refers to Hong Kong. Therefore that would be the country required to be found as part of step (1).

*CAREFUL NOTE*
As far as I can tell, from users and such, the redemption codes MUST correspond to the version of the game. Example:  Australian game needs Australian redemption codes or as previously stated a Hong Kong game needs Hong Kong keys. If this is not the case please mention it but at the moment we are suspicious this is the case.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION [NEW!!!]
My interpretation of the code mostly alligns to the asian region apparently over my experience in the 4 months on here. Be smart in your interpretations of the codes and be logical in your reasoning of the countries. Generally where you bought the game is the country you need to use in (1). If codes seem random and unrecognisable you are most likely in Europe or America and therefore should trial and error with countries in those regions. The alternative is to pinpoint a selected psn such as your default country and supply EA Support with your code, prove your ownership and ask for a code corresponding to the default psn. In my opinion that is the quick fix and EA should heed this advice as well as contact me to keep me up to date so I can help as many people as possible.

(2) Make a PSN account for the particular country's psn, go to any country's psn website, then sign up and select the account for the country you needed to find in (1)  as part of the procedure.

(3) Go through all the sign up procedures but I'd suggest using a different email to your normal psn account, if you don't have a second one, ask your parents or make a new hotmail account, then use that.

There are two possibilities at this point:
-Make a new SUB account OR
-Make a new master account

I recommend the master account but both have been successful! TRY BOTH WAYS IF ONE FAILS (which could unfortunately require a 3rd hotmail account)

(4) Once your new psn account is made, go to your ps3 and make a new user (only one psn account can be used per user, therefore this is necessary). Name it whatever you want.

(5) Sign into the psn on your new user, using the account you JUST made in (2)-(3).

(6) Start up Dragon Age on that user and you will be asked to sign into the dragon age servers. Sign in with your Dragon Age Social Network account (the one you are using to look at this post).

(7) On the left, if you have already claimed the codes for the online content, it should say "New downloadable content available!" So go to the 'Downloadable Content" tab and the list should now pop up. Enjoy the enduring process of continously going back and forth downloading each content :)

(8) You may then switch back to you default psn user and account. Enjoy!

**NOTE**
DO NOT DELETE THE USER MADE IN (4). There have been reports deleting the user MAY corrupt the DLC.

(9) Please post your happiness. All feedback is welcomed! Image IPB

=============================================================

*PLEASE NOTE* [Disclaimer]
I do not take any responsibility for Bioware or EA taking any action in consequence for following these steps.
=============================================================

EXTRA INFO

ALSO on another note as far as users said to me, the steps help download content that was redeemed via codes included except for Warden's Keep, I do not have that content and therefore am unable to assist. Maybe if someone finds a way to fix it please mention it and I will add it to the list of solutions alongside a large mention of your golden name(s).

[Claim of Plagiarised posting]
ALSO,
Someone or person has complained that I plagiarised Vnet1's post in the topic Redeem Codes- Need Help!
Truth is I just noticed that post last night whilst browsing around and want to mention I didn't even realise someone had posted that. I did not plagiarise and I worked out these steps by myself.

=============================================================
History of changes to post beginning 17/12/09
-Added disclaimer (which I then re-modified removing insults) and extra info
-Modified (1) with *Careful Note*
---------------------------------------------------------------
18/12/09
-Added Glossary
-Noticed the post has been stickies. Thanks!
----------------------------------------------------------------
21/12/09
-Added the claim of plagiarised notes.
-Fixed step (2)
----------------------------------------------------------------
2/1/10
-Fixed (1) and Welcome the NEW YEAR =]
-Removed "Users Successfully helped", kind of obvious it's helped a lot.
-Considering more about the EA - Bioware - Dragon Age connection. Comments welcome.
----------------------------------------------------------------
6/1/10
-Changed a few wordings, fixed spelling mistakes.
-Planning on posting an image of where to find the code as part of (1) in the next few days.
-Still considering the connection dated on the 2nd.
-Some extra editting to make some things clearer.
----------------------------------------------------------------
17/3/10
-Added new paragraph.
-Want EA to contact me :P :ph34r:

Fail. Did not work and I meticulously followed those instructions.

EDIT: Works fine. Used wrong country's PSN. Dragon Age compatible with AU/NZ consoles purchased from UK ebay store with actual serial key indicating it was from Singapore. Go figure <_<

This is ok if sony don't find out since your internal mac code (00-00-00-00-00-00) is logged the first time you connect a new PS3 and register which country your living, and if you goto PSN USA,Europe,Asia and you already registed with another this will get your PS3 banned completely that means Unable to connect online ever again. Before doing this check the Playstation forum and read.

There are loads of people who have done this, why else are so many PS3 braking (if it wont connect brake it and get it swapped) some are people who tried to get on the USA or Asia site when they are registed with Europe.

Can the Pre-Order Codes used X-Over? Or are they also only opened for some Shops and/or Versions.

e.g. you can buy this Codes at ebay. If I bought UK Pre Order Code, own an US Version and want to play with a german account. Is this possible?

Sony did not block PS3 Systems if there are more as One Account on your PS3. There must be other reasons why they do that.

What about the Situation that your Girl-Friens is a citizen from Hong Kong? You are American and your Freind who lives with you in the same House is German. You all use the PS3. That's legal and you you have 3 Account from different States on your PS3.

Sony did not Block such a PS3.

besides its their fault this problem is occurring in the first place, why should we be penalized for fixing a problem they can't fix. Scottvee I need more info to be able to help you such as what country you reside, where you got the game from, etc. maybe you misunderstood one of my steps. Jiend0 your welcome :). cv6_ I have no idea as the codes MAY be particular to a particular regions code. I remember since I got my game from Hong Kong, the serials seemed to apply to that region specifically. I guess that's an issue to ask customer support.

you think this solution also applies to my problem wherein i bought the DLC from Playstation Network but after downloading and installing the DLC (Warden's Keep), i cannot unlock within the game. They said you can unlock this DLC anytime after Lothering by speaking to a merchant named "Levi" in the party camp, but i dont see this character there in the party camp.

yes it could apply. say if you got the game from hong kong as I did but I live in Australia, all my dlc upgrades are from the hong kong psn. If I bought an upgrade on the Australian psn, in my observation, would not work with the game. referring to warden's keep, you would need to buy that content from the hong kong psn to be able to play it. However I may be incorrect, this is simply what I believe to be your issue sedrik77.

cv6_ I think this also relates to your question. In my opinion, the dlc content must be from the same country as the game itself. As mentioned before but I am not 100% sure, at the moment however, that seems to be the case.

I don't think I ever had as much fun going through the long and arduous process of downloading content and going back and forth between PSN store and game :o (<------ seriously, I am this happy)

One thing the OP should've mentioned that had me stuck at the start was that what you're creating is a SUB account. When I went to the USA PSN website I assumed we were supposed to create a MASTER account, but upon attempting to log into another account on my PS3 it failed. I created a new user, a SUB account, signed up to the PSN by selecting 'Use Existing something or other' and THEN typed up the account I'd created in the USA PSN site. I think what Oxelhue (I think that was the guy I quoted) had in mind was another master account.

Indeed, all is well, I have gotten my armor, my collectible addons and am on my way to getting shale. To the OP, you are a saint and if I knew how I would petition this thread for a sticky (but please mention that what you create is a SUB account and not a MASTER account to help clear some of the confusion)

Thanks again OP :D

I'm sorry if I have read your instructions and the posts of others poorly - it is four in the morning and I am sodding* tired - but I wonder, having already used a New Zealand redeem code on a US master account and receiving no free DLC on either of my two US and NZ master accounts, is it possible to get this DLC by creating an NZ sub-account under my US one? Or have I royally screwed myself out of my free Blood Dragon armour? Once again I am very sorry if I have left out any details, misunderstood instructions or the like.

* See what I did there? :3

@Fifty-Of-Them - It depends where the game is from, I'll need that to help you more.

@Scottvee - On what countries psn did u buy the dlc 'warden's keep' from? My interpretation is that you bought it on the Australian psn therefore incompatible with a UK version of the game. As mentioned previously, my gut feeling is that all dlc content bought or redeemed on the game must relate to the region it is from. Eg a UK version of Dragon Age may require a UK redemption code, or have dlc content bought on the UK version of psn. However as previously stated I'm not 100% sure.

@PsychoMunkys - you are welcome. I worked it out when I looked at my codes that came with the game and under the serial mine had the following "BDA-HKPS3KEY", which I then interpreted as Bioware Dragon Age- Hong Kong PS3 KEY. So the code seemed to relate to Hong Kong, therefore I made a seperate account on the hong kong psn as mentioned above and the rest is there.

@ Scottvee - reply if it works ok :)

@ Fifty-Of-Them - You have to be very careful. I'm assuming you have claimed the codes online. I suggest forgetting anything involving US at this point as both the games and the codes relate to NZ. I just realised where I've made a mistake with my steps. Some countries allow you to make a Sub account but others require a master. When I did my HK one, I did a master one but I did not tie it with my AUS account at any point. IF you are having problems, I reccommend trying my steps with a new NZ account (which may be painful I know) and see if that works. Just like Scottvee did refer to my post to PsychoMunkys or above to the refised first post to make sure the codes are really from NZ.
