NO! Not at all!
but youre not reading what i wrote, is it so bad that we loved the story and game so much that we wanted it to blow everyones mind and go down as a masterpiece? its like you child with whom youve invested all your money and time for years makes it to the state finals with a spectacular season, then walks away from the 1st place match saying "froget this, doesnt matter anymore" its a let down, and all we wanted was something we loved to acheive it's potnetial
Yeah but 4 months of constant rage and thousands of threads, a campaing with charity, cupcakes sent over at BW... over a game. Thats insane. If only real life problems gathered this much passion from people to change.
thats another point, this became more than a video game, it became a bloved story and series, with characters everyone loved. I used to think the same way, that video games are video games and theres no use fussing over them, but then, i was sooo dosappointed and sad over this one, that i havent stopped talking about it for mnths, it became more than a video game, and no matter how stupid and petty that sounds, it's true for me and many others. BW shoed how you can turn a simple Video game into something so much more and touch thousands of fans. They also showed how NOT to end it.

No. And this new content proves it. The new ending wasn't great and its not my favorite ending to a game or story, but its nowhere near the bottom either. We shouldn't have to FORCE a company that had the reputation and trust that Bioware had to put forward effort. These new endings are well constructed, internally consistent and no longer discard the entire theme of the whole trilogy. If Bioware wants millions to put down pre-orders, plunk down money for DLC and buy anything they sign their name to much like many of us used to they need to give us what they gave us now at launch. Minimum. Loyalty is earned, not given freely. Earn ours back Bioware. This extended ending is a good mending step but there is alot of damage to fix.

Sending death threats? Constantly making threads detailing how to get your money back on the game full of praise? Review bombing sites to the extent that the game got its price lowered in a lot of shops? Using a charity to spread this cause and therefore forcing them to change their rules when a high number of people demanded their money back? 3 months of the same threads over and over and screeching hatred at anyone that disagreed?
There's so much stuff that happened, I'm actually astounded people are so blind to it. The entitlement is insane.

Still id say to all these people here who worked and cried so hard to change the endings of a fictional game:
Theres still a real life world out there thats full of bad things, take that passion you had, go out there and try to change it, however you can and think. Please. Dont give up and escape the reality, however grim it might seem at times.

What? Of course you did, this was the biggest overreaction I've ever seen about a form of media in my life. Even the Star Wars prequels never had this much of an overreaction.

the death threats and all that DID cross the line, but the people like me who just wanted this game to realize it's full potential, i believe did not.

Over the Extended Cut: YES...overreacting isnt the word for it. I see threads left and right crying foul that the EC was terrible because there was no L.I. Reunion, or Shepard dies, or the refusal ending was a smack in the face because you lose, or there was no IT....
It's funny....they explained everything ....it all makes sense...EC=mission accomplished (I never saw it coming....did you?)

ever since dragon age 2 all this fanbase has done is overeact. this community is full of trolls who like to hate on bioware just to hate them. even when bioware does something good it gets hate. and when mass effect 3 came out within 10 minuts of realease the game has a user score of 2.2 and those people didnt even play the game they just sat there like low lifes and trolled the game because they felt like it. before dragon age 2 this was a great community. but ever since dragon age 2 and the constant trolling i have come to dislike this community more then the valve community....and thats hard to accomplish
but there are torlls like htis in ALL communities, i think we just expected a MIND BLOWING MASTERPIECE from the game (which it was until the ending) because we had so much respect, love and high expectations for BW, and they destroyed the entire franchise in 10 minutes. Like i said in the above comment, kind of sad when IT and fan endings are better than what they came up with. The ending is OK now, but imagine what it could have been? the wasted potential is what disappoints me.
I agree with this. People would not be so upset if bioware hadn't raised the bar with their previous games. Of course fans are going to expect quality. They've proven they're capable of it. The EC was an improvement but not enough as it should have been given how good me2 and 1 were, and certain aspects of me3 like the tuchanka plot.
The series should have ended on an epic scale like the previous games did, instead it just kind of fizzled out. imo indoctrination theory still leagues better than what we got, even if it is only fan fiction.

Yah, no, you didn't overreact.
You think anyone would've listened had they not overreacted?
The only thing that is certain to catch people's attention is excess - because they've trained themselves to tune out everything else.

i agree, the EC did well, but imo only made the ending mediocre. my point is that this games ending could have blown peoples minds, left us crying and wooping and hollering, yet, we all hated it. It's sad how much wasted potential there was. dont get me wrong, the game all the way to the rush to the beam had me doing all of this,m and i loved every second of it and thought it was AMAZING, the end however, is now only mediocre, when it could have been spectacular, with the same moving affects as the rest of the game.

I paid a lot of money for this game, so yes, i was very disappointed (I'm disabled and do not have much money) but I can live with that now - and I admit, it was harder in the beginning as I had saved several months for this game.
I do however expect a game to be better when I pay so much for it - but for me, I certainly have waisted money on other things - for others, I think they have been entitled to act and react.
In my humble opinion.

That's was during the beggining of the whole thing, as I said I complained a bit but stopped after the first week. The only reason that is still in my signiture is because I simply forgot I had it as that.

Overreact? Nope.
I've seen possibly one of the best sci-fi trilogies of the generation destroyed by the worst ending I have EVER seen.
Also, the EC did nothing to really help at the fundamental level.
^Pretty much this.
