It began dowloading automatically when I initially "purchased" it, but then I got an error message sometime later warning me that my download was corrupt and I needed to stop and redo it. Only when I stopped the download, the item disappeared from the list.
EA help has been has been as useful as a kick in the head. If anyone's run into a similar problem and fixed it successfully, please let me know.
Edit (7:56 PM EST): I hit <shift + F1> within the the startup screen and download began on its own. Weird. Hope this helps anyone else who ends up with similar problem.
