First off, The Felon's Coat, an awesome piece of gear for your rogue, needs to be fixed.  It's a sham to close Wade's Shop after you complete the Dragon Scale quest, and we're going to need some DLC love to fix this.

Secondly,
Can we get a zoom control?  Seriously, why not?

why do they need to fix Wade's shop closing? The guy who works the desk gets pissed at you for costing him money while you have Wade make you specialized armor 3 times, thus tells you not to come back.

Because you have four party members and materials for more sets than 3? It's a very poor design decision, a cop out, nothing more or less. Very unrealistic, too, because Wade is the armor, and he would do the work on the side outside of normal hours simply because he doesn't care about money, but only cares about the craft itself.

Fundamental principle of game design: always allow the player to choose, do not force the player to play according to the designer's wishes. If the player is forced to play in ways they do not wish to, they will simply play something else, and that's bad for business (in real life, not the game world ^_^).

you can't be serious Sora.. There is a thing called balance that needs to be watched here too. How many armor sets that give you high fire resistance when the hard bosses of the game are... Fire breathing dragons, do you really need?

I dont care about the Dragonskin Armors. I just want to have the shop open so I can get armor I want. Most of the time the Felon's Coat isnt even there and I dont even get to buy it because the shop closes when the trigger for the Coat finally puts it in the shop.

if you know when it triggers, then wait to hand in the scales until you buy the coat. Basically all I'm hearing is "I want to buy stuff and you have no right to deny me that!!" which is pure bull. This isn't a bug, it's programmed this way, and if through all the playthroughs you claim to have, you haven't learned to check back with special shops often, then that's your fault, not the games. I'm tired of the whining I hear from people about things that happen in game that are planned and thought out. They make you think.. wow, a total surprise for an RPG game. How dare they make you, Sora, think and take the time to look at places and people as you progress through the game.

By god man, grow up and learn how these games work.

By the time Wade's shop closes on you, all the fire-breathing dragons are dead anyway.

The Archdemon does spirit damage.

That aside, I was a bit annoyed that the special chestpiece they sell was suddenly unavailable. But it's hardly a big issue.

I can't believe how whiney and demanding some people are. Maybe EA was not exaggerating when they said 90% of tech support complaints were actually gameplay issues.

I didn't even know this particular item existed until 2 days ago. Didn't stop me from finishing the game 4 times though. If you know enough to know where it is, then you should know enough to get it while it's available. Crisis averted.

Mehh, ****move to close down the shop, I even paid extra money to get it done properly, so the guy generates income over the Dragon armors even when Wade wanted to do it for free.

Alas, we got other armorers, but hate to be in Denrim and face only Dwarven armor.

Try asking Herren about Wade sometime. You'll get an interesting conversation. If you don't feel like firing up your 360, the gist of it is this: Wade originally ran the shop on his own. However, his dedication to creating quality work led to him taking far longer than expected, and he was losing money. So much so that all he had to eat was gruel. In a final bid to turn things around, he hired Herren. Herren is an ass, and that's exactly what Wade needs to keep him on track. With Herren's constant prodding, Wade manages to stay on task, and gets things done. The entire reason Wade's Emporium is doing so well is because Herren is there.

Now, look at it from Herren's view. You keep distracting Wade from making the stuff he's supposed to be making by bringing in materials that Wade just has to work with. Your 'extra business' is quite literally costing the place money, and, when push comes to shove, they are shopkeepers, and all they want is profit. Profit that your repeated intrusions are denying them. Herren is well within his rights to kick you out, and to be quite honest, I'm surprised he didn't do so sooner.

swk, how does anyone with a brain cost him money when we pay 30 gold for two light sets of armor. The only set Wade does for free where he refuses money outright is Dragonscale sets, Superior or otherwise.

FYI, I always play thru all conversations, so my comment/observations still stands: it's a very poor and unrealistic design decision, and is purely designers forcing players to play according to their preferences, not allowing players to actually roleplay their characters.

In answer to the posts about how many armor sets do we want to make, it's very simple: you have limited scales for making sets, therefore the limit is already in the game as you play it. Closing the shop is very silly because the materials required are already quite rare.

I'd also like to point out that I have no idea what rogue armor is being talked about here because the shop closed before it ever appeared (in multiple plays with different characters) due to my roleplaying logically by taking the scales I had acquired from the tower and the forest and having better armor made from them, as per quest directions provided ingame. Saying that players should "work around" bad design decisions is like saying that players should "work around" bugs and simply put up with them. No, in both cases: bugs should be fixed, and poor design decisions should be fixed if possible, and should certainly not happen in the future, which is why it is critical to point them out when they occur.

There are plenty of other games for people to play. If Bioware and EA wish for people to play their games rather than those of a competitor, they must make good design decisions that allow players to actually roleplay their characters, at least for RPGs.

The Felon's Coat is a DW Rogues best friend and most of the time it never shows up.
