When going to Games/Mass Effect 3/ Official DLC from the Bioware SocialNetwork interface (where I usually get my DLC), Extended Cut is not listed.  When I log into Origin and start up ME3, I do not see an option to download the EC.  I don't see a way to check downloaded DLC within ME3.  When I go to the Origin store page, I see no option to download the EC.  On the forums, there are no stickies/threads on how to download the EC.

...HOW, exactly, DOES ONE DOWNLOAD the EC?  Did it do it when I reinstalled it last night?  I don't know.  I don't know.

EDIT: I DID find out how to get it from the Origin client.  My Games > Right click Mass Effect 3 > Show Details > SHOP FOR ADDONS button at the VERY top of details.

Did you try the download selection within the ME 3 (the game, not the Origin Beta) startup menu?  ( I can't remember the exact name of the menu item. )  A pop-up screen called "ADD ONS" should appear, and the EC should be one of the available selections for "Purchase" (even though it's free--go figure).

I saw an "extras" option, but that was the only thing that led me to believe DLC could be found there; the rest was "multiplayer" "campaign" etc. Unless I'm blind. Anyways, DLC wasn't in there. I'll fire it up again and look harder I guess.

No. I just have four options and the readiness map. New Game, Multiplayer, Extras, Exit. No DLC "bubble". :/  It says I'm "connected to EA servers".  I must be super retarded!  Or something!  Or I don't deserve DLC!

That's odd. In my game (I just got back from checking) there should be a menu item called "Downloadable Content" between "Multiplayer" and "Extras". Maybe you need to uninstall and re-install? If you can do that while keeping all of your save files and additional content (I'm pretty sure ME 2 allowed that), otherwise I probably wouldn't risk it without advise from someone more knowledgable than I.

no idea what the issue is tbh, but if its not there its not, so cant be your faullt, its always been there for me right in between multiplayer and extras buttons....me thinks is broke ..oh one thought..u have booted game up at least once right? maybe it needs that..some games do before they will accept dlc or mods, think skyrim does it ,needs a first time boot up ini file..

failing that u may find a fix on tuchuncha , and while u out there maybe u can find and bring back my sunny disposition me2 quote...

Well, if it was an uninstall/reinstall fix, I wasn't even going to bother.

However, I DID find out how to get it from the Origin client. My Games > Right click Mass Effect 3 > Show Details > SHOP FOR ADDONS button at the VERY top of details.

Seemed pretty vague to me. Maybe there should be a sticky for people who mysteriously do not have the "Downloadable Content" option in-game.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I've been searching high and low for a way to access that DLC because my DLC option in game has vanished, too. Maybe because I never downloaded any other DLC for that game. I don't know. But it was getting quite frustrating not being able to find it.
