the leaked information about the Leviathan  DLC states that is was abio engineered ship.

BIOWARE YOUR STEALING IDEAS FROM A TV SHOW FARSCAPE

THIS is DIRECTLY from the farscape wiki page

http://en.wikipedia....cape)#Leviathan

Leviathans are sentient spaceships in the Farscape universe. They are an engineered race, made sentient by the Builders. Leviathans are made of both biological and mechanical systems, and are therefore biomechanoid.

and THIS is from the mass effect wiki page

http://masseffect.wi...com/wiki/Jartar

Jartar is a terrestrial world with a trace atmosphere of krypton and xenon. The surface is hot, and mainly composed of unremarkable silicates. Occasional deposits of aluminum, magnesium, and other light metals can be found.

Jartar is noted for the discovery of the "Leviathan of Dis," the apparent corpse of a genetically engineered living starship. The Leviathan was found in the bottom of a crater by a batarian survey team, and estimated to be nearly a billion years old. It "disappeared" after a visit to the system by a batarian dreadnought twenty years ago.

The Leviathan of Dis is a Reaper.

Epic Fail.

Or, wait for it...

They are paying homage to the concept by naming one of the Reapers "Leviathan."

Its called inspiration. There is nothing wrong with that. We did inspire the developers to do the EC did we not.

I'd say we forced them to do it... make us happy or we're not paying you for your future stuff.

You know, they got their Mass Relays from Supreme Commander (or anything Supreme Commander got it from, but I just find the resemblance uncanny)

I want to scold you for not realizing that the Leviathan is a Reaper...and for getting upset that Mass Effect isn't anything but completely original ideas.

...But that cat avatar is just so damn cute.

Every good and bad idea has already been done. No matter what writers write, they are duplicating something.

Next your going to tell me the Normandy rips out the Enterprise because it had a fish tank and modeled ships on display, right?

You do realize that, that is theoretically not true. If it was we would have had to gain full intellegence. Which, if we had we would likely be living among aliens atm.

Also consider that the Leviathan has been in the game since ME1, where it was just an interesting planet blurb. Sort of like Klencory, Ploba, Preying Mouth, and Klendagon (which actually got something out of it in ME2).

Sentient starships have been around in SciFi since the '50s.

OP you are dumb. All major franchises reuse titles and names and ideas from other folktales and references. Leviathan is a great idea. just like Lazures project was.Just because the names aren't original its how you use them to make sense in your universe that make them unique. The Leviathan is a ancient story and will be used a million more times in your lifetime...get used to it.

Inspiration. A phrase used to steal ideas since the 1700s.

The problem with this complaint and accusation is that originally, back in ME1, the Leviathon of Dis was probably a purposeful homage because it was little more than extra fluff so reading planet descriptions wouldn't be boring. You can probably find more planet descriptions created for the same reason. It's only with ME3 that they're potentially going to expand on the idea within the ME universe (Balak mentioning it, etc). So congrats, you figured it out.

Well, sentient bioships were for example Dolans in Perry Rhodan series, introduced in 1967. And there was also bioship in Outer limites.

This is simply theoretical technological concept, nothing more.
