The Leviathan of Dis is a Reaper.

Epic Fail.

IF the extracted "Leviathan" dialog ends up being used, it seems the Leviathan is a surviving member of the species that created the Catalyst and which it then used to create Harbinger.

YOUR idea has just given me a MASSIVE idea

WHAT IF the Leviathan was one of the origional reaper creators that survived by putting itself into a hibernation state and awoke at a critical time where there were NO inferior spieces left.

now what if THAT one has control of shepard?? possible independent IT the last sole survivor of the creators.

GAH i cant think of the right words >.< but i HOPE you get the jist of what i mean

Every good and bad idea has already been done. No matter what writers write, they are duplicating something.

You do realize that, that is theoretically not true. If it was we would have had to gain full intellegence. Which, if we had we would likely be living among aliens atm.

O..k...full intelligence...living among aliens. Mhm.

My problem with this is not so much the riff from Farscape, which, to be fair, isn't something that's blatant plagiarism (plenty of fiction with "living" technology). My concern is that I don't WANT the Reapers explained, they are far batter as enigmatic terrors.

Furthermore, turning one "good" further serves to undermine them as a plot device.

IDC, the reaper body that my control Shep calls home(resides in most the time) is now named Moya.

And I will from here out refer to Garrus as D'argo, Liara as Zaahn and Kaiden as Crichton - or maybe Crais instead, yeah, def Crais.
Maybe Javik can be Rigel since they are both annoying trolls and Joker can be Stark, Tali = chiana.

TIM was totally Scorpi, mind control angle and all.

Ummmm.. yeah Leviathan is a biblical reference too. So ... Farscape ripped that off from Jebus apparently. I won't explain what the 'Lazarus Project' stole though.

>Something is inspired by something
>OH MY GOD RIP OFF

I don't know if you noticed, by Mass Effect actually draws a lot of inspiration from classic Sci Fi. There's idea taken from Star Trek and other shows scattered around the entire series.

Its called inspiration. There is nothing wrong with that. We did inspire the developers to do the EC did we not.

I'd say we forced them to do it... make us happy or we're not paying you for your future stuff.

I don't give a damn where they got the idea, I'm just glad we'll (apparently, given where the Leviathan is/was taken) see more Batarians.

Farscape wasn't the first to do it. Everything is a copy of something else.

Gotta ask do you mean the name or the actual project cause if it is the name I don't know if it is the actual project it is the million dollar man I think or something like that so which do you mean.

There are other things besides Farscape that used a living ship. Lexx, Event Horizon, and this one is stretching it a bit but 2001 A Space Odyssey (I know it was the computer but it controlled the ship) had a living ship to some extent.

That was also most likely a shout out anyway.

BIOWARE YOUR STEALING IDEAS FROM A TV SHOW FARSCAPE

THIS is DIRECTLY from the farscape wiki page

http://en.wikipedia....cape)#Leviathan

Leviathans are sentient spaceships in the Farscape universe. They are an engineered race, made sentient by the Builders. Leviathans are made of both biological and mechanical systems, and are therefore biomechanoid.

and THIS is from the mass effect wiki page

http://masseffect.wi...com/wiki/Jartar

Jartar is a terrestrial world with a trace atmosphere of krypton and xenon. The surface is hot, and mainly composed of unremarkable silicates. Occasional deposits of aluminum, magnesium, and other light metals can be found.

Jartar is noted for the discovery of the "Leviathan of Dis," the apparent corpse of a genetically engineered living starship. The Leviathan was found in the bottom of a crater by a batarian survey team, and estimated to be nearly a billion years old. It "disappeared" after a visit to the system by a batarian dreadnought twenty years ago.

for GOD SAKE use your OWN IDEAS

It's a REAPER!
