Rachnis? Ender's Game.
Quarians leaving their planets and living on Ships? Battlestar Galactica
Grey Boxes? Schron Loops from Hyperion.

It's just inspiration.

The bioships in Farscape are from a race called Leviathans so I think that is the most likely source of inspiration (though I'm sure they're aware of other examples.

That feel when the endings were ripped from Deus Ex.

That feel when the ending stargazer scene was copy paste from a wallpaper.

That feel when nothing in ME3 is original content...

At the moment, it's unclear what the Leviathan is really, to me I'm seeing more relation to the Thorian than a Reaper, but we'll see when it comes out. Huh? The actual name Leviathan is from a biblical creature. Also, *remembers Tomb Raider Legend* Leviathan is the sea serpent guarding King Arthur's tomb with parts of Excalibur.

I'm pretty sure they're just going with more Jesus crap as opposed to copying another Sci-Fi series, who's writers probably pulled the same idea from Jesus or King Arthur crap.

Welcome to western civilization and the love of having Jesus themes in everything.

So, if something uses a term that just happened to be used elsewhere, it's now considered a "rip-off"?

Just....WOW, dude.

im pretty sure Leviathan was a thing before the biblical version
hasn't it been around for ****ing ages ?
isn't it almost every huge water monster thing :P

Yeah basically. I think the name 'Leviathan' is Hebrew, but there were certainly older sea monster stories.  Always an older version of everything out there.

It's not the term, it's the similiar descriptions that's the issue. 'Leviathan' is used in a lot of different stories these days. Having not played Farscape I cannot say how similiar they are or not.

I'm glad there's still some crazies that still feel a bit let down.

Farscape is...rather, was...a television series, not a game.  Just puttin' that out there.

I still don't see it as a "ripping off" of anything.  Sorry...can't go along with that idea.
