Does this mean we can now add custom ANYTHING to the single player campaign? Can we now add a player storage chest, I know theres a mod for it (great mod by the way) but can we now add our own? more easily?

I am not sure exactly how to answer this, but I think it simply means that the initial release of the toolset did not include any of the 1P campaign resources. So looking around at levels, areas, monsters, etc was not possible. Now that the 1P data is in the database, not only can you look at the resources, but you can also change things, etc.
