Ok, let's face it, DA3 is hinted at, and confirmed (so I believe), but not much has been said on whether it will be like DA2, or be like DA:O. Could this be a DA:O2?

If so, what kind of origins would you like to see?

I, for one, would like to see a Dalish keeper origin. I had to role-play the idea that my circle mage was from a dalish clan, even though I knew he wasn't. This is something I would very much like to see.

What about you? What would be your favorite? What would be interesting?

Also, name off any in world conflict exploits that you would like to see in the new game!

Again, on the conflicts I would like to explore Tevinter wars with Qunari, Tevinter oppression of elves, and the growing power of the Tevinter Imperium and its growing amount of blood mages.

COMMENCE TALKING! :police:

I think the Qunari call anyone outside of the Qun "bas" anyone who leaves it is called "Tal-Vashoth".

those are some interesting things, especially the apostate mage class, that's something I forgot to mention.

I'd like to see another city elf origin. That was always my favourite origin in DA:O.

Also, I'd like to see some class origins for warriors and rogues. New recruit in an army, theif who sees something they shouldn't have etc

City elf apostate mage origin who is being chased down by templars and runs to the dalish and becomes the new keeper, only to have his clan murdered by templars so he runs somewhere else and that's where the game starts.

A kossith origin would be nice (though, I suspect, unlikely), though preferably not one that would shackle your character to the Qun. As would a surface dwarf origin.

I suppose technically we've already seen an apostate mage origin in 2 (even if Hawke is a rogue or a warrior, her life has pretty much been defined by the fact her father and sister are apostates), but I'd like to see it done properly. Seeing a bit of apostate life before the rug is pulled out from under them.

Ghast origin. A poor ghast has been driven from his tribe because he lacks an appropriately fancy hat. In his quest for new headwear, he becomes the saviour of all Thedas.

Surely we can do better in the 'annoying voice' department.

How about the guy who voices Jar Jar Binks? He must work cheap. :D

I think a seeker origin would be an interesting take on things... although it's more of a class, but could also play out well as an origin.

I would love to be able to play an origin story as a tevinter imperium mage. That would be awesome. It would be contrast to what we are used to. It would be a society that is ruled by mages as opposed to other places where mages are hunted down. We keep hearing about the tevinter but we never get to see it.

1. A Tevinter magister who had to come to Orlais for whatever reason (poilitcally outmanouevered and forced to flee for your life, something like that)

2. A Seeker, not necessarily a Lord SeekerLambert type seeker, I get the impression that the seekers have somewhat varying viewpoints. (That or Cassandra was some sort of rogue)

3. An Orlesian noble, could be fascinating with all the intrigue going on. Kind of like the Dwarven noble but with balls and dinners masking the assassination attempts rather than gruff dwarven honour.

4. Someone in a similar role to Leliana, working as an agent for the Divine.

5. A grey warden, come to Orlais on normal grey warden business, let us see what they get up to when there isn't a blight.

6. The Warden. (Won't happen but I'd like to see it and it's my list damnit.)

7. A kossith qunari sent to answer a demand of the Qun.

8. Something unique to dwarves or elves. Can't think of one off the top of my head.

Those aren't in any order of preference, just how they popped into my head.

I don't mind what kind of origin stories we get, but It would be nice to be able to play as different races again.

I think for elves it would have to be Dalish Keeper. And for Dwarves... I'm drawing a blank at what they call they council members..... or we could just play as a gladiator or golem maker and our first ally could be a golem.

Speaking of golems.... I wouln't actually mind playing as one. That should also be a playable race.

I would want something like:

-Elven servant/escaped slave
-Dwarf merchant or smuggler/shady black market type guy
-Human templar with a good reason to dislike mages (such as family killed by mages, they were used by a blood mage, etc...)
-Human/elf court mage type who preforms for the entertainment of the nobles and secretly advises their patron.

I'd like to play as an elf, but as something we haven't done before. Not Dalish and not City Elf. Perhaps an elven pirate, smuggler (think Athenril), or something of that nature. Or perhaps an escaped Tevinter slave, or a magistrate's apprentice.

I love elves, always have; I hope they get a slight redesign for DA3. I understand and respect the developers' desire to create a more unique-looking elf for DA2 but I think they did miss the mark there a bit. Something perhaps in between the two.

I like the elves too, and that's exactly what I thought about the remodeled elves... I was kind of thinking why they looked like children and why their arms were so weird.... I mean, they could keep the faces (because they ARE unique and different and it really defines them) but the arms and body need to go back to something more like DA:O
