Major thing was the crucible, it just made everything I had done was for nothing, they probably could have won with just the crucible and the alliance fleet, and at the end of the game, thats basicly all you see. I got to the last cutscene and I just put my controller down, I never once saw the two biggest fleets in the galaxy (Geth and Quarian) in action, then on the ground I saw only the council races and the krogans- etc etc etc

And then there was the focus on cerberus, I know they were a terrorist sect and I expected to them but I didn't really expect to see them in most of the missions, I mean really, it seemed a little over done.

Lastly was just the lack of stuff you'd expect to see in a war set in the ME universe, like dragon's teeth, or driving a mako, or using a turret to kill more then 5 husks and 3 brutes (etc).

But yes, I felt it lacked in some respects and was over abundant in other area's.

Limited dialogue (both auto and the lack of investigation/middle options)

The retarded plot device that was the crucible.

The ending... period was the most annoying thing. And the crucible. From the moment they brought it up, I was fearing for a deus ex machina moment... they did not dissapoint.

The focus on Earth. I wanted to build alliances to fight the Reapers. I don't care if Earth is blown up or not. But the whole narrative was that Shepard was doing all this for Earth and humanity. I liked ME1 where it wasn't human-centric. ME2 and 3 were.

Very little. Lack of a middle dialog option, I guess, and the direction they took Cerberus.

Oh, and the assumption that I gave two ****s about what happened to Thessia. Stop fracking bringing it up during the end game. The asari and their **** of a Councilor made their bed when they declined to get on board with the greater galactic battleplan faster, and thought that an army of irregular miltiawomen practicing asymmetric warfare would do a damn thing against the Reapers. I only cared that I lost an opportunity to complete the Crucible and proceed to Earth, not that I had to leave the planet to continue burning.

Everything.

I'm being serious. At every turn, there was something that I found to be disappointing. Lack of interactivity in favour of movie-style cutscenes you can do jack s**t about, sidelining of some characters, total character assassination of others. But most of all, I hate that Bioware took my money to make some kind of statement instead of giving me the product that was promised.

Everything. Auto-dialogue, broken quest, end - erp.

Oh, and the Extended Cut. It was just like I got gutted again.

My LI (Kaiden) telling Joker to run away. :| Thanks douche.

The bold, with a few exceptions.

The list would be too long for me to write. ;-)

Frankly all my other sources of irritation pale so much beside the Big One that it seems utterly pointless to even go there. Suppose I would have been one happy customer.

Too much auto-dialogue.

No Harbinger conversations and lack of a final boss fight with him.

Too many scenes with that dumb kid.

EDI becoming a fembot.

Too linear, and the side quests becoming 'scan planet' rather than going down there and investigating. I also felt you were really pushed along the way rather than being able to slow down and enjoy the journey. I realise that to fix this would have taken a lot of time, but ultimately it would have been worth it.

I never liked the scanning parts (I can't believe the ones who wrote it felt it was fun - but maybe it is for some) ;-)

I also realise it would have been too much, that is why I thought there would be a Mass Effect 4 (I had not been online to know it was just a trilogy). They had such great and huge Codex/Lore, I thought it would be more like a TES game, but a game that would continue where it left off, unlike TES.

The fact many of your former squad mates could easily join you but bioware was too lasy to write dialogue.

the stupid reaper chase mini-game

no real side missions

agree with the auto-dialogue thing

Still really enjoyed the game though before the ending

Journal, autodialouge, fetch quests, the dreams, excessive focus on Liara, and the background sprites of people that sway by their heads. Those are creepy.

Lots of things:
-Lack of emotion in many cutscenes i.e. Thane's death, Victus's death
-No choice to save characters that YOU want saved, and let other die, so I wanted Thane to live but he dies anyway, but Jacob lives no matter what, I can't save Mordin without weakening my war assets and killing Wrex
- Star child
-Choices not mattering thatmuch
-Graphics, I mean in the first mission, when you are high up on the building, look down at the people running away, and you will be amazed.
-Some love choices not getting the love, I mean Liara gets a good scene, but with Tali, there's like nothing
-War assets are just numbers, you don't see them doing their work
-How the codex and journal were put together to make space to show the controls when they could have done it on the game instructions booklet
-Doing everyone's ****work, and even then, people like Garner Vosque still act like they are better, why can't you just renegade interrupt that ****
-Cereberus played too large a part, even if they were controlled by Reapers near the end

Asspull of Crucible
Auto-dialogue
No exploration/no side missions/fetch quests
Cerberus
Introduction...

You know what? This list can go on and on. I'd just say: the whole game.

*fetch side-missions
*war assets not used (why did we have these?)
*linearity
*BW (or EA don't know which) PR practices
*Priority: earth (take earth back -> what! is this it?!!)

I guess they just ran out of steam in the third game. Kind of understandable with all the personnel changes, leaked ending, etc. Just need to be more careful with Bioware from now on.

Edit: Oh yeah, the all-mighty space empire that is Cerberus

The journal was a bit vexing, concerning the side-quests.

Sure, I get that the items for the side-quests would be a bit out of the way in the N7 missions, but they should be larger than a pixel imo.

No interaction with Harbinger. After all that build-up in ME2, I expected him to be more to say.

The beginning was overly rushed. It's a shame the trial was scrapped.

  • Auto dialogue
  • Broken Quests
  • Side Quests
  • Lack of Conversation Choices
  • Dismissal of ME2 Love Interests
  • General Length of ME3; It was a LOT shorter than I thought it would be.
  • Not actually getting to go to Palaven
  • Not actually getting to see a female Turian
  • Not actually getting to meet Garrus' family
  • Kal'Reegar's OFF SCREEN death
Yeah, there was actually a lot about ME3 that kinda urked me. But, I feel this was because the game was simply not given enough time. It was only given a production date of two years, that is NO WHERE near enough time to create a memorable and satisfying RPG, not unless you have A. A very large and dedicated staff team or B. Have had everything preplanned and writen for a while.

What was Harbinger doing there if there's no interaction at all
Listen to conversations to get quests
Auto dialogue
Off screen deaths (or via twitter)

Auto dialogues.
Fetch quest.
The lack of N7 missions.
Awful journal.
Your choice don't really matter at all.
The poor treatment of most LI.
The lack of vanguard on the squad.
The poor handling of Cerberus.

Lack of side quests (launching a probe to rescue civilians. Really, Bioware?)

Tali romance scene before cronos station. The music fades out before it actually starts. Its an insult if you compare it to other LIs.

Talis face is wonderful, i love it, So why no 3D render? Could also stretch the scene I mentioned.

EC: No reunion or LI epilouge. Would also be a chnace to show a 3D render of her Face,

And less important but sometimes annoying: Auto Dialoges. But due to the pure Mass of Dialoges I understand why the devs decided to cut this part.

ME1+2 face transfer. Auto dialogue. Quest interface. Cerberus dumb-ass logic. Not enough information about the Reapers. Still miss Harby.
