The Journal not being no where as good as in the first two games, In fact I don't think I've seen a worse journal in my gaming career before.

The face import not working on a lot of ME1 faces.

Stiff and glitchy animations ... in my first play through I had a possessed Chakwas during an entire conversation, and characters vanish in an entire conversation.

The entire crucible plot... Deus Ex Plot device....

How most of the game are auto dialogue and I do make miss entire dialogues for taping the a button by accident.

Side quests... the majority of side quests in this game is fetch quests.... And you don't even need to go to the citidel to get the quests... its the same boring routine after every priority mission. Go to new open zones scan everything to 100% and turn in what you can at the citidal.

War assets: We do not see most of them put to good use.

EDIT: I forgot the sheer laziness with the Tali  photo really photoshop a photo you found on the internet?. After watching all the endings I am not suprised.

Those are my beef with the game other than the substandard endings.

The crucible is the biggest problem in the game, it lead to the endings, they couldn't have been done in any other way because of the crucible.

Tali's face, such a bad photoshop job it is not even funny. They make a real model for Allers, a pretty pointless character, but one of the more central characters throughout 3 games is apperantly not worth a real face.

The opening on Earth stands out the most to me, there is no setup, we dont get to see the trial, the kid is a such heavy handed plot device. No time to settle in and be reaquainted with the ME universe.

All the auto dialogue
To many little bugs, no polish
The quest journal list
Jack wont re-join my team (all ME2 characters actually, but I want my crazy sad emo girl back, c'mon she's an extranet troll I would really like to team up with her and do some trolling).
We never really get to see hour war assets in action

auto dialogue, fetch quest instead of decent side quests.

The Journal system, the auto-dialogue (yes, we get that there was MORE dialogue overall, but most variation was based in choices we made in ME1 and 2, not 3), the lack of personal involvement with many characters (quick side conversations as opposed to deep conversations throughout the game).

The journal was a bit vexing, concerning the side-quests.

Sure, I get that the items for the side-quests would be a bit out of the way in the N7 missions, but they should be larger than a pixel imo.

No interaction with Harbinger. After all that build-up in ME2, I expected him to be more to say.

The beginning was overly rushed. It's a shame the trial was scrapped.

a trial would have been great, especially if you did the arrival dlc

The fetch quests (all following the exact same pattern) leading to a distinct lack of the assignments we got in ME2 (Thessia could have had a couple of small ones to add meat to it), the treatment of Levo ME2 romances who get nothing more than there face shown instead of Liara in the flashbacks, and the still relative lack of meaning for the War assets other than a number.

Aside from the ending, that useless journal. Why it doesn't keep track of your progress in missions is beyond me.

Also the fact that some of the mission-essential figures on the Citadel aren't highlighted even when you have the object required for completion. Sometimes having an object doesn't even cause the quest to appear in your journal (the Blue Rose of the Citadel quest comes to mind). It's busted beyond belief.

Too many plot holes to count, buggy, less interaction(There's no middle ground in war, derp, derp), seeming to forget completely about Mass Effect 1(the only good game in the series) and then even Mass effect 2, retarded hype marketing, really weird lore background(The U.S entered a second civil war because Canada was being added to the North American super state.. wtf?).

I could be here all day really.

Lack of any true good side quests as we were suppossed to love the probe collecting in 2. These missions essentially starting because shepard cannot respect personal space.
Journal was replaced with something completly useless.

The focus on Earth. I wanted to build alliances to fight the Reapers. I don't care if Earth is blown up or not. But the whole narrative was that Shepard was doing all this for Earth and humanity. I liked ME1 where it wasn't human-centric. ME2 and 3 were.

The focus on Earth annoyed me as well to be honest.

My Shepard wasn't even from Earth and yet I can't recall a single moment where she was worried about Mindoir, the world she was from.

In no particular order...

-Space Empire Cerberus
-Auto-dialogue
-Lack of roleplaying options
-Lack of elcor, volus and hanar
-Not seeing war assets do anything
-broken journal
-reapers chasing you on a minimap
-buying fuel
-fetch quests instead of immersive side quests like in ME1 (Helena Blake rules)
-no exploration via Mako or Crapperhead
-lazy graphics - all of the characters have double in game. And why is everyone fit in the game? No fat people policy or what?
-lazy background - the refugees on the Citadel look like the happiest, healthiest bunch ever, not like victims of a galaxy-wide war to extermination.
-focus on earth and humanity - felt like i was working for Cerberus and not for the Citadel - you know, the whole bloody SPECTRE thing.
-no love for ME2 characters - I didn't like any of them bar Mordin, but I still wanted to see them and interact with them.
-no love for the Virmire Survivor - the dialogue options are few and far
-too much Liara - she was literally forced down our throats so much that I went from not caring about her to hating her.
-fembot EDI
-Allers
-the slideshow in EC - the person who made that Zaeed slide should be fired. Seriously.
-plotholes, plotholes, plotholes - had more plotholes than Prometheus. :P
-Kasumi getting her jiggy on with her DEAD boyfriend and not even a 3 second clip of your LI reunion.
-post-mission briefings with Anderson and Hackett.
-damage inconsistencies - killing a Destroyer with the help of a fleet and later on with MANPADs in London.
-****y NPCs - I'd get it if it was ME1 and you're an upstart, but you're THE Shepard in this one and you still get random ppl getting uppity with you.

I'm actually sure the list could go on and on....

Oh yes, how could I forget...

-no Harby
-no final boss fight
-TIM not being a challenge.
-Kai Leng the whiny assassin.
-in 10 minutes they managed to destroy the incomprehensible monstrosity of Reapers.

I like to add the handle of Jacob's relationship to Femsheps was a major slap in the face for those who romanced him.

I'm pretty easy to please, so the biggest issues for me were the Journal turning into a flaming mess of idiocy for God knows what reason, the lack of Miranda in the overall Cerberus plot, and the general shaft that most of the ME2 squaddies received.

What irritated me most was the lack of war assets in action, the EMS system would have been far more interesting if we could have seen more noticeable results based on our individual assets acquired as opposed to meeting certain milestones. ME2 proved what they are capable of, the whole game was about gearing up for the Suicide Mission, complete with variables and I was really expecting the Battle for Earth to be 10 times that experience. It's a shame, with all the cool new things they added to combat not much of the game feels overly challenging.

Also, yeah the Journal kind of sucked quad this time around.

Don't do this. You see, when a game has a satisfying ending, I can happily overlook any other irritations...

When it doesn't, I will b**** about them all.

When you are dealing with a game series having a dissatisfying ending, then I will remember every single tiny thing that irritated me about the whole journey.

I think it is to retroactively justify the substandard experience in my own head, but I think it works for most people. We can overlook the small things..

For ME3 however:

The Journal
Auto-Dialogue
The Journal
Kaidan/Ashley
The Journal
Really really lazily done, eavesdrop acquired side quests
The Journal
EMS
The Journal
EMS
The Journal
and EMS.

Then there was some character actions that annoy me, but some people annoy me with how they think and what they say and I can't control that either, so it's no big.

Way too many Glitches
The journal
The hide and seek questing (never found the heat stablizers)
The lack of planet exploration (still want to see elcor homeworld)
ME2 squad mates were limited.
Bad writing (Ashley, "Man do I ever") she quotes poetry for God's sake can't she be eloquent?)
Diana Allers
It was a cover based shooter instead of action RPG.
No real side missions. (N7 & ME2 squadmate missions was the closest you got)
Citadel missions (hated having to retread the damn map over and over.

I agree with the majority of above mentioned things: auto dialogue was terrible and irritating, one’s choices having no impact on the plot/ending, EMS boosted by multiplayer, no real side quests at least in my opinion etc. etc. etc. But one thing that hasn’t been mentioned here which is so terrible for the eye is the way fem Shep is sitting in her dress, that is pathetic, I couldn’t stand it.
