For Xbox there is no love for turians, probably because the sentinels like a downgraded Krogan and the soldier actually requires skill and timing to use marksman
Lolwut? My hurricane wielding Turian wants to know what is this "aim" you speak of? Walk into a room proxy mine+marksman+ spray hurricance rounds galore = lotta dead stuff. Also, the turian sentinel warp + overload for setting off combo detonations if your cooldowns quick enough is amazing. Can work on a team woth biotics or tech.

If a Salarian Engineer is played well he will use his decoy to hold one chokepoint by himself. They tend to work better alone because they don't have huge DPS and are better suited to controlling rather than killing the enemy. When in a group, teammates will do enough DPS to draw large targets away from the decoy. SE is probably the best class to have covering the flank, especially if there is a long corridor he can make a controlled retreat down while holding enemies with his decoy.Blaine Kodos wrote...
I never see Salarian Engineer played well. If it's not Firebase White I rarely see a Salarian Engineer doing anything useful. Not intending to sound elitist because I don't know what to do with an SE either but I've yet to see anyone really wow me with it. I just see some decoys standing around ignored.

I often play Krogan Sentinel on silver. Granted, it's not that effective, but it's loads of fun. I think KS is a bit overpowered for Bronze, with its abilities to wipe the whole spawn with one-two grenades and melee-finish the survivors.
Yew say wat?
The other Sentinel was a Vorcha, I forget what the Inf was.
I'd say KSe is plenty effective, considering I was level 7 for that match. Gold medal in melee kills and headshots, silver medal in kills, assists, and grabs, and a bronze medal for revives, biotic kills, and shotgun kills.
Those two went down often enough that after wave 6 I stopped trying to revive them and just soloed the rest of the match.

solution for krogan sentinel :
6/4/6/6/4
max tech armor, choose power bonus and dmg reduction
incinerate, spec to 4 pts choosing radius.
max grenades, dmg ( duration if you have grenade +, extra grenade if not ) dmg
get lvl 5 power dmg bonus from korgan battlemaster, along with both weapon dmg upgrades ( passive for krogan only gives +5 power dmg)
4 pts in shields
enjoy your grenade killstreaks, and incredibly powerful incinerate, without even having to put 6 points in it!!!

Quarian female engineer
Batarian sentinel
Novaguard
Are probably the ones I see the least on gold. And with good reason, as they are some of the worst or glitchiest classes in the game. Drellguard is ok-ish I guess but if you want to spam cluster grenades you're better off with the adept or the vorcha sentinel really.

Ohkay, let's rephrase that a little - "not very effective in my hands"
Or, perhaps, it was not a good idea to dump Incinerate completely for the toughness bonuses. I'll try the recommended 6/4/6/6/4 build some time.

rank 6 is a choice bw dbl dmg to frozen targets, of 50% dmg againsts armor, which u can use your grenades and guns for.. incinerate at lvl 4 with the power bonuses is very strong...
TIP: incinerate bosses to weaken their armor before u throw those grenades!!!

6/0/6/6/6...TA specced for DR and +melee damage, lift grenades maxed for damage, passive specced for maximum weapon damage and rage specced for max health/shields, taking martial artist for the extra melee damage. Heavy, powerful weapons in conjunction with powerful grenades and absolutely no cooldowns =)
Now, I was only level 7 so obviously I wasn't 6/0/6/6/6...if I remember right I think I was 1/0/4/3/5 but I'm not sure.
EDIT: I don't have any use for incinerate...as the only power you have (and primarily an anti-armor power), I find better utility in skipping it and taking heavy-hitting weapons (slow, heavy weapons do more damage against armor), which allows me to have more health, more shields, and significantly more melee damage. I usually rock the Claymore X with bayonet V and high caliber barrel V, with the Harrier as a secondary, using the high caliber barrel V and piercing mod V.

this is a very wise move, for a low level. the 2, 3, and 4 perks of tech armor are crap, i leave 1 pt in it until im like lvl 15.xcrunr1647 wrote...

keep in one mind that even 1 pt you put in incinerate can help you line up headshots on movin targets, and weaken armor, even if thats all you use it for
1600 shields + 35% or 45% dmg reduction is alot, im happy with 1350 usually.

At level 20 I have 1200 health, 1600 shields, and 50% DR
Plus since it's a melee-heavy build I get the extra DR from the HM
I don't know the numbers exactly, but with the HM factored in, I think you can get temporary DR of up to 75%

Lately I've been playing around more with the Batarian's melee and blade armour, and it's actually really nice. If you're like me and playing the race/class as a tank that keeps enemies stunned to keep them from firing at you, even if they get too close and hit you, the blade armour makes them jump back and stop attacking long enough to counter with a Falcon punch.
The Batarian's main weakness seems to be (ironically for me) getting stunned, which is probably what makes being a stunning Batarian so useful: if your enemies are too busy being stunned, they can't stun you. But I noticed the few times I've been stunned lately, it's been either from getting meleed from behind when I'm running around in a crowded area (either to finish objectives or to race to revive someone), or from a Geth Prime's annoying gun. And since I started my moratorium on Falcon use, my Batarian Sentinel isn't nearly as effective that I may have to respec for more Shockwave and find another gun that stuns almost as well (Disciple?).
It's true that Batarians aren't as mobile as, say an Asari (my personal favourite for simply being able to evade most missile/melee attacks), when I'm feeling lazy, just being so spec'ed for health, shields, shield regen and damage reduction means I don't even bother trying to evade missile attacks half the time I'll just walk straight towards a Geth Rocket Trooper and even take a missile to the face as I keep stunning them. It beats being squishy and constantly having to worry about those damned missiles. Surprisingly, taking a rocket to the face _doesn't_ seem to stun a Batarian, which is weird because other things that seem less powerful seem to stun me more easily.
I've strangely never played a class spec'ed for all damage, usually because I figured playing defensively and staying alive meant I could keep my teammates alive while they did all the damage. My Batty Sentinel build doesn't do damage quickly, but if you don't care if you do Bronze solo in 10 minutes or 20, it's a pretty stress-free way of playing just because there isn't much pressure to kill as many things as quickly as possible, you just have to sit there and take what little damage there is to take while you keep stunning large groups until they fall over or go flying. But this makes doing target objectives solo a little difficult if you get saddled with a Geth Prime as your first target. ;P But that's what Cobra missiles are for, no?

sounds like a good build, even though i play krogan alot i honestly rarely melee, maybe 1 thing but i almsot never hit my rage... if you DO melee, that that is certainly something that might work better for you.

Well, I forget the exact numbers, but I'll do my best to be accurate here:
Now remember, this is Claymore X + Harrier I we're talking about, not some little wuss of a weapon...
+27.5% weapon damage from the passive
+25% weapon damage from HCB V
+40% melee damage from TA
+25% melee damage from bayonet V
+75% melee damage from rage evo 5
+30% melee damage from rage (when triggered)
+50% DR from TA
+50% DR from HM (not additive)
I forget how much extra power damage I get, but with nades maxed they hit for a fraction over 1181 per grenade
It's a pretty potent build.

that will work, all youll miss is the radius, but i would suggest the power dmg upgrade ( from TA) if you do, as it will enhance both your incinerate and your grenades. 30% is actually significant when stacked.
The only thing that worries me about that is the 40% melee damage I'll lose out on. I melee a lot. I have a feeling 6/3/6/6/5 would definitely be better on Gold though. I'll have to experiment and see how much incinerate weakens armor.

i think incinerate weakens armor by 25%, but i dont have the game in front of me.

I'd say on Gold...go 6/4/6/6/4. Melee doesn't really have a place on gold, unless you're a Kroguard fighting Geth. Then it's just a joke.
TA -- DR, Power Synergy, CD reduction
Incinerate -- damage
Nades -- straight damage
passive -- weapon damage, power damage, shotgun weight reduction
rage -- hp/shields
I could then also skip out on the bayonet on my Claymore...allowing me to take the shredder mod (also level V) and drop the Harrier, resulting in a pretty short cd on incinerate.
Hm.
This build has potential. Thanks =)
