classes that nobody plays

Other than that though, I think the classes I see least are the non-Phoenix humans - I guess people just think playing as human is a bit boring or something (the Phoenix classes are still quite new so maybe the novelty hasn't worn off yet)... Human Adept, Infiltrator and Engineer especially; very rarely see them (I've seen 1, maybe 2 Human Engineers since the Combat Drone buff).

DA are BE machines. And you can keep your DR up just about 100% of the time, making up for the low barrier.

A lot of people aren't good enough to make proper use of the TSo...
And many people don't like the TSe because it's not a killing machine. It's a fantastic support class, though, I love having an engineer and biotic user both on my team and causing BE's and TB's galore.

Drell is another thing I rarely see. They're fantastic at setting up BEs but people find them too weak with the fraility. If you play it right it can work wonders.
I also don't see a ton of Human characters, although I'm loving the Human Adept with the Shockwave range increase.

Drell Adept is powerful SOB against reapers - scoring 100k + everytime thanks to the crazy cluster grenades and reave combo - hits like a ton of bricks (Brutes health goes down to 50% just from one reave into cluster grenade biotic explosion combo... and then mattock to finish it off)

This is all silver-gold, because anything works on bronze.
Human adepts, and to a lesser extent, sentinels. Krogan sentinels. Salarian engineers (unless farming FBWGG, go figure...). Drell anything. Few people seem to know how powerful a drell adept is, and the drell vanguard is great fun but lacking in damage reduction or invincibility frames, so I rarely see them. Also turian soldiers are quite rare. Batarian sentinels.Probably a few more that aren't coming to mind.
I play Human adepts (highest damage BE) and sentinals all the time, as well as Drell adepts... I see plenty of Drell adepts actually, and for good reason.
classes I rarely see... Female Quarians, Salarian engineers, vanguards in general other than phoenix and Krogan, and Turian sentinals (it seems pretty useless to me, but what do I know?)

i just pop on my Hurricane on the soldier or Revenant on the Sentinal.
On soldier this results in my strat being find target, use Marksman and shoot them. They die in less than a second.
On Turian i spam Overload while hammering with the Revenant, using warp instead on bosses for that extra damage.
i easly top scoreboards without even trying thanks to the insane damage output.
compairing Turians Insanity at range to a krogan melee? are you NUTS?!

I find it to be awesome on gold. But it took a long (long, long) time to figure out how it works and how to pull it off. The targeting mechanics for the heavy melee is unforgiving, while timing and opportunity is often important. All worse if not being the hosting player, of course.xcrunr1647 wrote...
TSI'd say on Gold...go 6/4/6/6/4. Melee doesn't really have a place on gold, unless you're a Kroguard fighting Geth. Then it's just a joke.
With plenty of equipment (but not strength enhancers included), been using Krogan Soldier. Uses melee partially or fully to kill stuff that gets within range. The staggering effect is useful. Phantoms are riskier than most others but 9/10 phantoms end up killed. Interestingly my heavy melee almost always makes a banshee drop a picked up squad mate.

I find this rather amusing. I'm on xbox if that matters, but over this past weekend I literally changed my character after each round on gold and got extractions in a row with..
Human Engineer, Krogan Soldier, Batarian Sentienl, Female Quarian Engineer, Phoenix Adept, Asari Vanguard, Human Adept
I guess I need to start adding the Drell Vanguard in there...
Edit: I'd also say I play a human adept in u/u/g about 50% of the time.

Speaking of Turian Sentinel, what would your build be for him? I used to skip Warp entirely, but am now trying to rethink it.

I love the Drell Vanguard loads. Spamming Pull is ace fun.
I see few others playing these two classes. Or Salarians either, but I don't have one to try myself.

Biotic explosions do not receive any damage boost from tech armor or from alliance training. Only warp and throw does, which is rather irrelevant. On top of that, tech armor has 20% cooldown penalty or 50% if you don't spec for it.darkpassenger2342 wrote...

the human sentinel is the only human i use ( excluding cerberus, different category)
i think his ability to take more dmg than the AA and the huge boost to BE's is worth the tradoff of stasis. its one of my favorites.
Wich huge boost to BE is that ?
the 30% boost to warp and throw from tech armor.
it may not even boost the explosions themselves, but it increases the dmg of the inital warp and the subsequent throw. try it yourself, it is significantly stronger power-wise
Your usual human sentinel build is 6/6/6/5/3 assuming you want to spec for power damage. Your tech armor grants you 40% damage reduction and 30% power damage at the expense of 20% additional cooldown. You give up on 20% additional carrying capacity or 10% weapon damage. As well as 40% more health and shields and 15% faster shield recharge.
Tech armor is rather poor compared to excellent stasis. Sure you can detonate it if you're getting hammered in close range, but more often that not, it is not enough to save you.
Asari adept specced for power recharge to trigger biotic explosions as often as possible, outperforms human sentinel specced for power damage.

My issue personally is that I get so used to being able to rambo an entire spawn in gold that I have problems adjusting to a more reserved style of melee play against Reapers. Cerberus is still easy.
I meant that it doesn't have too much of a place for me, personally. I don't doubt that other people can make it work. All the same, I wouldn't run a melee build on gold with anything other than a Kroguard.

I've seen someone use Turian Sentinel ONCE and I'm not sure if ever again. I find it weird, because the class seems awesome to me, it's the perfect tank+support mesh in my opinion. Managed to solo bronze with a lvl1 (did have some sweet gear equipped tho).
Speaking of Turian Sentinel, what would your build be for him? I used to skip Warp entirely, but am now trying to rethink it.
I usually go 6/6/6/5/3, though I'm going to look into 6/6/6/4/4 later today.
I spec mine for a purely support role...chain overload and extra BE damage to warp.

Most played one is the Explo drone, i can by myself tangle up a choke point easily by re-casting the drone whenever it goes boom all the while i take down shields with Overload and then switch to Incinerate to finish of the job.
Build i use is :
5/6/6/6/3
Drone : Detonate/Shock
Incinerate : Dmg/Burn Dmg/Armor Dmg
Overload : Chain/Neural/Chain
Alliance : Dmg&Cap/Pow dmg/Wpn Weight
3 Fitness
Usually run around with a Viper & Shuriken.
