I've done a few runs on my QMI, and it doesn't feel that different. Yes, cloak is shorter so it has to be used more carefully, but the damage reduction from the ability itself doesn't seem to affect me a lot... With my Black Widow IV and Sniper Rifle Amp III, it is still 1 shot to take shields, 1 more to land the kill, next.
... and the only Sniper Rifle that was nerfed was the Krysae, right? And not by a whole lot as i recall.

If you run the math, the damage decrease isn't very high if you were already using consumables. Or you could use this as an opportunity to respec and try a new build. Maybe a shotgun infil? Duration support SI with Drain + prox mine?

I actually like the nerf.
I'm a selfish lil twerp so I specced for damage.
Feels more dangerous with the shorter cloak and harder.
I LIKE harder

There were some cool ideas in the forums but what BioWare did wasn't that cool. Playing a damage oriented sniper can now be done by a human soldier too. Won't make that much difference.

Uhm... Sniper rifles still get a huge boost on any Infiltrator (65 -125% extra damage). And duration was arguably more important on Shotgun Infiltrators (getting close to enemies, flanking). I know I spend more time cloaked while using a shotgun than a sniper rifle.UKStory135 wrote...
All they did was take away any reason to use a Sniper Rifle on an Infiltrator. Shotgun Infi's won't notice a difference until they try to cap objectives.

They simply made your gameplay extremely proactive now... unlike the geth hunters which are still able to remain cloaked for the duration until they are actually ambushing you...
I pity the sniper infiltrators... but at least they still get a boost, better than all other classes in that respect...
Still funny to see the number of infiltrators drop in the lobby for... see more Aguard and Dguard snipers now.

Enjoy the other classes and maybe look out for the remaining infiltrators and how they cope with the changes, so that one day, you might try again.

Look. Try your Infiltrator again. Maybe this time without a sniper rifle, but with a shotgun or heavy pistol. I've even seen assault rifles. Maybe try different kinds of Infiltrators. I know my MQI Claymore build won't be hurt that much by this change, so try the other ones out. Try other classes, you never know what you may be good at. If you're really into those sniper rifles, a ton of classes use them well.

I don't know but I hear they are related to Adapts.

To the indoctrinated, "balance" means that everyone runs around using either a shotgun or heavy pistol.
No. Balance means every single class is viable and there's not one God class that's the best at every single thing.

That's so funny watching them crying like 8 y.o. with a broken toy. I mean, come on, infiltrators have a huge damage bonus, even after the nerf, and people is complaing about a shorter T.C.
I wonder how many of this pros are using only the infiltrator class on gold.

The MQI is still usable with the Krysae, but without head shot damage the Valiant is going to collect dust. Going to see if my BW V is still usable tonight.

Even with the huge boost they got before, shield gateing made Shotguns more effective on Gold than Sniper Rifle. Sniper Rifles weren't even overpowered, unlike the Shotguners who could two shot a Brute. Why nerf something that wasn't OP, and leave the OP weapon option barely touched? That is my problem with the nerf, that and the duration cut, while I understand the point, was way too much.
