You know, at this point this deserves a snappier name than Rural tileset with elven and halfling houses :D

How about Rural tileset with elven, halfling and human houses? ;)

Talking of names, I couldn't understand why whenever I clicked the link in your sig I kept getting to a set of files that were last updated in april while everyone else seemed to be raving about them. Then I realised the link in your sig goes to a different place to the files referred to in the title of this thread. OK try the other link. Get to the page with the list of all your other stuff. No sign of a file called Medieval Rural. Strange. Oh, I got the right one in the end, which brings me to my request. Could you please either link to it directly in your sig or change the name of the project to match the name of this thread please. It makes you wonder how many other people have given up trying to find it because you called it something different to the name of this thread.

The barn, the windmill and a chicken coop are finished as well as small walls and more caves and mine entrances. I'm working on roads now. They're nearly finished, just a few mountain road tiles are still missing.

Neat stony path texture.

I would remove some tiles off the texture here and there! Make it seem like they have been lost to time, like Skyrim's! :P

I definitely wouldn't walk down that path during a storm for fear of being washed away! Looks good though.

Thank you, Six and Oseryn!

Unfortunately I added a few tiles with the last update that have tiny gaps at the edges (j22_07 and j25_10). I fixed them and they'll be okay in the next update. If anybody finds any more, please tell me. There are over 200 tiles for mountain roads and there may be some with tiny gaps that never appeared in my test areas.

The roads across mountains are finished, but for the rivers I need several tiles more because there are a few more possibilities. Where the mountains are too steep for a road there can still be a waterfall. I think there are less than 20 river tiles missing now and I'll add a few more caves. Then I'll upload an update.

Zwerkules, an old pw, Vives, which I have been caretaking just got a burst of interest and life, enough to start completely fresh.

I am setting up the CC for them, and this tileset along with medieval city will be essential tilesets for the starting areas. The work is suitable and beautiful. Glad that it all flows together.

Thank you, Henesua! I'm glad these tilesets get used.

That mountain stream is fantastic! I had already decided to use this tileset on our PW, The Vast soon. We have CEP, and are preparing a collection of other haks to use soon too. This stream has me even more excited to use it.

Will players be able to get up on the rocks like that then?

Zwerkules, as always you never cease to amaze us with your continued custom content creations. Sure wish sets like yours and Six and a few others out there had been around in NWN 1 heyday time. I think that NWN would still be holding it's own against some of the newer games out there, if of course, Bioware had continued to update and develope it etc.

Anyway, great work, keep it up!

The streams are walkable, the rocks aren't.
There are a few variations of rivers flowing down the mountain which don't have so many boulders in the stream that walking through it is impossible, but the walkable parts are rather narrow and bigger creatures won't be able to use them and pathfinding is too complex for NPCs there.

I'll let you know when the Vives team gets its module live.

Talking of boulders and streams, just curious but are there any stepping stones (or faked versions thereof)?

No, jumping animations would be needed for that. Since there is no jumping in NWN the stepping stones would only work if they lay right next to each other and formed a kind of bridge. The streams are so shallow that you can walk through them anyway.
