On the note of addressing quietness on the parody front, the Army of Gnoblars have three songs finalised and awaiting recording (ETA this weekend, but no hard and fast promises).
The first is a gentle dig at the increasing repetitiveness of topics and entrenchment of views we've seen amongst the BSN community lately, called "Threads that never change". On a related note, tip of the hat to Jimmy for almost singlehandedly attempting to reverse the trend with the "Bioware, lets talk about..." threads to the point that they became well recognised enough to be parodied twice in the same week.
Whoever said irony is dead.
The second, "Requiem for the Republic", touches on how awesomeful TOR online turned out to be and produces shocking new evidence that Bioware's decision to make an MMO was made after copious consumption of alcoholic beverages*.
The final one is about World of Tanks and its players, which won't be linked here as if you've never played the game before then your mileage (and traverse speed) may vary.

Great stuff. alleyd! The American Pie spoof was really good stuff, pulled at my heart strings a bit. Aside from a few rough patches and areas where the same line is recycled (and given the length of the song, that's hardly anything to fault you on), it was a really well done parody.
Another Husk Bites the Dust was solid. Lol I actually was hearing the song in my head as I was reading along. Speaking of hearing the song, I might suggest including a link to the originl song you are parodying, just so people can listen along or hear the song if they hasn't heard it before.

I know its a bit late for Xmas but I wanted to post this little spoof on ME, Its based on Greg Lake's classic xmas song I believe in Father Xmas
For my mnd this song has the most apt Xmas Lyric, about the diappointment and sense of betrayal of a child discovering that Father Xmas is a myth and false promise.
I wanted to make a similar comment on ME3 and riffed off of the many comments about the promises of the devs and marketeers from before the release of the game.
I Believed in Commander Shepard
They said we'd see Reaper Battles, They said we'd see War Assets
But instead it was all just foreplay, A marketing seduction Trip
I remember what was promised, All the hype spread out through these wires.
The marketing spell and persistant hard sell. All the praise from the media choir
I was sold on the Dream of Shepard, I was sold on the Mass Effect
It was more than a fairy story, In my mind it was perfect
And I believed in Commander Shepard as my hands held onto my treasure prize.
And I couldn't rest until I finished my quest, Then the scales, they fell from my eyes
I wished for a fitting ending, gathered my forces for the final fight
All the darkness of the cycles would be consumed in Shepard's light

Well a developer we know named Bioware made a game
and they told us it was the perfect Fantasy Western RPG.
I wrote them back and said it was NOT the perfect
Fantasy Western RPG because it didn't have anything about
runecrafting... or cats... or prisons... or storage chests... or running a castle.
Well, Bioware sat down and released an expack to that game and they sent
it to me and, after playing it, I realized that Bioware had made
the perfect Fantasy Western RPG. And I felt obliged to parody it
ad nauseum.
The last verse goes like this here:
Well, Oghren was drunk... the day the darkspawn... locked me in prison
And I went to craft a rune for mana regain
But, before I could get to my chest to grab Ser Pounce a lot...
I hung a man for stealing the Crown's grain...!

First off, thanks for the many entertaining parodies 
I've enjoyed quite a few of them, and at some point, while reading this thread, I lazily wondered what song and theme I would use for a parody. Surprisingly, this thought soon spawned what you'll see below. It's not amazing, but I'm just happy to contribute something to this thread

Also also, this was mostly done last year, but never got around to polishing it up until now. So just pretend it's 2012

We've had an amazing time here on the Parody thread. It is a little crazy to think that this thread just ticked over to One Year today. We've seen songs range from rap to rock to even some country and western. And, through it all, we've always had a good sense of humor and enjoyment of our source material.
Yet the thread has seemed to run its course. We all get busy and, as with all things, the thread has hit its apex a while ago and flattened out to an ending. But given all the work that I and others have put into this thread, I don't think it would be fair or right that things end on that note. There's still one more "hurrah" left in the tank here and I wanted to be the one to give that to you all.
That being said, I've been working on a project for a little while now, off and on, that I felt would be a welcome ending to the thread. It is going to involve multiple songs, multiple posts and will take place over the course of the entire month of July. It is a tribute to Bioware and a tribute to music. A project that is laughs and a project that is a bit of a sad goodbye. A look to the future and a wistful, happy glance over the shoulder into the past.
Given that this whole thread started with a musical parody (Jesus Christ Superstar), I felt it would only be appropriate that my last parody added was a musical itself. And not just one song, but an ENTIRE MUSICAL. Including songs, scenes and <GASP!> a plot! I have done a lot of JCS already, and struggled to find a musical I felt would have the right tone for the thread. While there were many contenders, I ultimately settled on one.
This was a musical that dealt with faith and loss, that dealt with war and struggle, that was based around different worlds colliding and the fallout from those exchanges. A muscial that has amazing energy and soul, but also MORE than its fair share of levity. And so, I settled on... The Book of Mormon, a muscial put together by the creators of South Park.
So, fellow BSNers… I give you Fast Jimmy's Swan Song… my Fifth Symphony… my Stairway to Heaven.
