I just have a couple questions if anybody can answer them about the relationship between internet speed, and game play (on PC).
According to speedtest.net the results for my internet are
Ping: 9 ms
Download speed: 16.48 Mbps
Upload speed: 0.56 Mbps

- First off, for those laggier games where for example, I'm not touching the key/mouse but I'm moving all over the place on the screen, is that due to my internet speed or the hosts? I'm not using a vanguard or anything just an infiltrator.

- Also can anybody explain the relationship between the speed of your internet and how much lag other players will experience based on that speed if you're host. I want to host games for example, but almost everytime I've hosted, 2 out of the 3 players that originally joined usually quit after 1 or 2 rounds. Is my internet just too slow to make the game generally lag free for other players?

It should be noted that I am in Shanghai, China right now visting family/ for vacation. If my location is merely the reason for people having laggy games when I'm host or laggy game play then just say so lol.

Thanks for advice/comments.

Your download speed seems fine, and I don't know enough about ping to comment, but your upload speed seems pretty low. It's supposed to be lower than download, but I think mine is over 1 Mbps, and I'm still not a great host, but I think upload speed has less to do with lag than ping does, as the amount of data exchanged isn't actually that high, the issue is when your data exchange slows and stops on occasion due to server hiccups and such.

If you aren't in a similar location to the other players, the ping is really bad, and the matches get super laggy, but it can be bad anyway depending on servers and stuff. Generally speaking you want to be playing with people on the same continent at least for less lagg.

I'm not sure about all of this though. Also, if your PC isn't powerful enough or is overtaxed, that can sometimes produce more lag than your internet connection.
