As I ended the game my character had to start rebuilding the Grey Wardens. There are some people friend/foe that I encountered throughout my journey that impressed me in a way that if I could recruit them to the Grey Wardens I would. Other than my companions (who are obviously qualified) here are some people I would love to recruit.

Here is my list of Grey Warden prospects and Why.

1. Isabela - Because she kicks butt and can handle more than one man, hehe...

2. Gorim - The guy is a warrior at heart and has a firm resolve for honor a trait needed in a Grey Warden.

3. Shianni - The girl is stable even after what she's been through. Mental toughness a great trait.

4. Paedan - Running a "rough and tumble" crew speaks alot about his leadership skills.

5. Ignacio - I tried to attack him and got owned, I would rather have him than Zev.

6. Dagna - Her ambition and desire to not letting anything get in the way of her dream is inspiring.

7. Servant (Human Melee playthrough) -  Who is this guy? After you convince him to fight the guy just starts owning proffesional soldiers. Seeing as he's a servant imagine if the guy was given more training? Wow, would love him to join.

8. Grand Oak - The guy speaks in rhymes is freaking huge. Now I have two mobile battering rams. (  I dont know how the ritual would work, maybe pour it on him?)

9. Hermit - " May I?"If you havent encountered him yet wow this guys ownage skills is amazing.

10. Jowan - Because I need a replacement for Avernus.

These are just some of the few I'm sure I have more. If you have your own please do tell.

Actually rumor was...Jowan was SUPPOSE to be a Grey Warden, it was your job to have him come..but they cut him..I'm sad, I wanted Jowan. Even if he was a jerk and did bad things, I think he could redeem himself and it would of been great to have Blood Mage on the team. I like Gorim as well...Shianni, she deserves it, she is just awesome, her snarky attitude would go well with Shale lol

I was kind of pissed that I couldn't get Jowan out of his predicament.....he made a few mistakes like trusting Loghain and messing with blood magic but he was not evil or bad....I really wanted to be able to call the right of Conscription and give Eamon the finger.

Its not a rumor. He was a recruitable grey warden. social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/47/index/250603/3#255320

Also I agree with original poster on Gorim and Jowan they would both make excellent grey wardens.

I would be loathe to use the Right of Conscription for anyone that doesn't have any other way out.

So many of the people the OP mentions will support you anyway even without being a warden its sort of silly to conscript them anyway...

Ser Cauthrien. I will breed her with Sten and create a race of utterly loyal two-handed warriors.

Definitely Ser Cauthrien, if I hadn't killed her. I wasn't able to persuade her to let me by.

I'd conscript him just to see him fail to master the darkspawn taint.

I'll bet she doesn't even need the armor or red hot poker for breeding.

I choose Swiftrunner... He was cool, for a werewolf. Too bad I turned them all back into Humans though...

They need to have some basic fighting skills. Their strengths are more in administrations than in the frontlines. You cannot sue your way to peace with the darkspawn.

Jowan only whines over things he did, I don't think he would really give a dang what 'you' do.

But anyway (sorry had a double post)

Yeah,

Jowan

Gorim

Shianni - you can train her

Then if Loghain lived, and Ser Cauthrien lived, make her one too, ownage.

Ser Cauthrien and Jowan.

I was really disappointed that we couldn't evoke the rite of conscription. It would have been great if we evoked it to save him and Riordan put him through the Joining, and Jowan would 'harden' a la Alistair.

If you are talking of conscriptions/joining ritual then you also need to include most of the actual party members you have join you.

Granted I think the only two that would possibly do it are Zevran and Leliana. Maybe Oghren, but the rest I highly doubt wouldn't.

As for other NPCs, agree that Ser Cauthrien would be a good choice, Gorim can't fight anymore due to an injury so he is ruled out.

Can't understand anyone wanting Jowan? He is a coward and a fool and I highly doubt he would be in the 'Ser Jory' camp when it comes to doing it.

Surprised no one has said Kolgrim, could do a trade off, I'll join your cult if you join mine and instead of flying in on Griffons, Wardens could maybe then fly in on dragons.

Sadly Isabella wouldn't dream of becoming a Warden, she belongs to the sea.

Dwyn and his buddies - doubt they would join, but you never know and they pretty good in a fight.

Sofia Dryden - convince the demon that you'll let her out of the keep as long as she fights alongside you during the Blight

Orzammar City Guard - the one at the entrance who gets all snarky with you when you enter. Would be fun to conscript that idiot as payback.

Leske - Obviously for certain people (dwarf commoners) this would be a bit more tricky, but I still think there should have been another option in the 3rd encounter with him for him to join your group.

Piotin (sp?) - The elite dwarf in the provings. Clearly a good fighter.

Bann Teagan - actually NOOOOBODY wants him in their party... well... except all the Teagan fangirls out there. But I think they want him in their party for other reasons other than fighting darkspawn.

That female noble with the short red hair (forgot her name) - The one whom is at the Landsmeet that you can get side with you and if you end up in the big battle there she joins in the fight on your side.

Cullen - Ok am only really saying this again for all the Cullen fangirls, because apart from the 'templar epilogue' option, in game he seems like a stuttering coward.

Petra - Whilst I know Wynne left her in charge of the kids, would have been interesting to get them to swap.

Mythra - Ok so its another 'archer' character, but then again good elvish replacement for Leliana

Jowan is the second most stupid and annoying characters in th game for me. First is Isolde... Argh!!! That woman drives me mad. I killed her kid a few times in my playthroughs just to be able to hit her in the face. :P

If i could choose i would take the Hermit... He is full of win. He lives in a tree stump! How cool is that?

And ofcourse.... SANDAL! Enchantment? ENCHANTMENT!  Sandal could solo the arch demon i bet...

But seriously if my PCs had the choice... None of them would become a Grey Warden. Only thing that could suck more then that is becoming a tranquil....
