Does anybody else notice that there is a increasingly higher ratio of low n7's in the random lobbies you are getting? i am on xbox and i am ending up in lobbies with under 100 n7's on avg. Did the player ban really effect  that many higher n7's or has there been a surge of people buying the game.

p.s. i do not mean to imply that the n7 has much to do with skill. i will say that if your n7 is below 100 you do not have as much experience as me and could probably use some mentoring by somebody to adjust your play style.

anyways, i was just curious if anyone knew the cause, or if it was just a sudden spike on the xbox only.

Maybe it's people building their EMS back up for Extended Cut?

We have that on PC as well.

An excess of low N7 players everywhere.

There used to be a lot of 300-800 N7 players, but those seem to have vanished only to be replaced by either N7 1-150 or N7 1200+ types.

Same for PS3.

It does seem a little weird to see new players at this late stage.

Great observation. That would make perfect sense.  Most of the people that I talk to seem to be replaying from a point before the war assets are frozen.

i must say it is amazing. my friend and i actually played with a guy. talked with him on the mic and all and i thought he was alright. he seemed competant to talk to. I didnt bother to look at the score till the end and i was amazed. he scored a 3529 at the end of a full silver match. i am not even sure how that is possible. i was still nice to him and gave him some tips. but holy crap was that crazy and still is my best example of needing help.

Combition of those who held off buying the game on recommendation from friends (i.e. wait and see what the extended cut brings to see if it's worth it to even buy at reduced price), and those who just walked away from the game after learning about the "normal cut" ending.

Also possibly some part of "I'm back from second round of summer vacation trips" in certain age ranges.

The game is cheaper now, so you will have more people getting it off the used and cheap racks...

then you have the players which after 10 or so promotions or when they get their numbers up for the SP simply stop promoting and play to keep their effectiveness levels up.

When are war assets frozen?

I've seen nothing but low N7 ranked players in random bronze lobbies, which I usually only play after promoting. They usually leave if I use my Phoenix Vanguard, which gives me the freedom to solo it

I noticed the same, poor things. My son hasn't been able to play since it came out and his N7 is at 15 so I've been giving him a hard time about it, telling him hes going to get slaughtered by me when he does start back up and get kicked for having crap for weapons etc.
He was shocked that my N7 rating was so high (660'ish) and stunned that his 'mom' can and does actually play on Gold all the time. Hes 25 so he grew up on this stuff and thinks he can rock all the Xbox games and that I know nothing but I dooooo. ;)

I introduce my  female family members to games all the time. In fact, I introduced my sis to ME2 yesterday. After she gave it back, she said "It was interesting, I may play it again" My female family members figure out some things about RPGs that I don't think about.

If you're about to get kicked from a lobby, find the nearest vuvuzela play it directly into the microphone. It'll be worth it, trust me.

I only started playing mp after I played the sp a couple of times but I have had the game since release date.  Others may have done the same.

I'd maybe play Hells Bells from AC/DC. It'd be hilarious:wizard:

My friend is below N7 100 but he has already figured out how to play the game properly. When he plays Manguard, he never uses nova. He mostly spams shockwave. He also uses Biotic Charge to stagger Phantoms, then he heavy melees, then he uses BC again. I never thought using BC and Heavy Melee against a Phantom would be a good idea, but he makes it work:D

The EC endings are very well done BTW.

Was not aware of this. But more low N7s in bronze means more new players, which is a good thing.

New people to the multiplayer game shouldn't assume that they can start off on gold, yes there are exceptions to the rule but in general they need to get use to the change of pace of the gameplay, build a weapon base and learn the maps.

Reminds me of the N7-1 level 1 Nova Guard that wandered into my Gold lobby, today.
