You can argue like this about any character. Legion, Mordin, Thane ... why not start a thread about not wanting them to die. Lets all play games featuring galactic war against the most lethal enemy in the known universe and have no one die, yay. Oh yes, and more kittens please!

You have 3 choices:
1. shoot the tube
2. refuse to shoot the tube
3. change game

I fired the biggest most powerful weapon the history of the galaxy, and 1. destroyed all reapers. 2 subjugated them 3. brainwashed them.

How did you do 2 and 3 after you destroyed them?

Hm. I see attacking people for their opinions as childish, but that's just me. I get it, yanno, that there's only one right answer in everything and someone's GOTTA be wrong. Individuality has to be shot down with scathing sarcasm and attacks! Love it.

Anyway, whatever, I'm off to watch The Avengers. It's got the same plot as Mass Effect 3 essentially, but even less people to do it with and, oh, hey, everyone lives, even the idiot that tried to sacrifice himself.

Odd. It's okay to do it in movies but not in a video game...

That's the power of video games.

You're free to have an opinion. Ignoring the critique and believing you're being attacked is another story.

You can rebuild the Geth and EDI. Pay attention to what the Catalysts says.

Hell, you can Lazarus project them if you want.

Unrealistic due to the massive amounts of money/resources required for one individual.

You missed the point but that's okay.

They CAN be rebuilt. Also, so as long as they have sent out updates recently, they'll be back to normal once reactivated.

Whether or not something is possible isn't proof or evidence that it will occur.

I also don't get your 'reactivation'? They are dead...?

The only ending where you lose is if you refuse.

I've seen a lot of people saying this....but you do actually win in the ending.....just not right away like the other 3 choices.....this confirmed by the new stargazer scene where the alien lady tells the child that they basically followed the path of "The Shepard" to defeat the Reapers ....

Basically any choice you make, leads to the eventual fall of the Reapers

P.S.....I do agree with the rest of your post (I snipped it out to shorten the post though)

The Catalyst states with a High EMS that ANYTHING damaged by the Destroy wave can be repaired. This includes the Relays.

It isn't far fetched to go..ah yes, if we can fix something we know very little about it shouldn't be difficult to restore the Geth to functioning order.

This isn't difficult.

Oh I see it now.  You don't think the Reaper war would be trivialized if no one died?  I mean seriously...

There's a huge difference between a lot of people mobbing you and calling you an idiot for what you believe and critique. Sorry, there just is.

I don't want a good nor bad ending. I want a REALISTIC one. An end given the odds. I want it to end the way it can end. If the Reapers can't be defeated conventionally, heck try it. The next cycle did it, so the current could do it.
I don't want space magic. I'd prefer a destined lost instead of what we got. The Reapers are meant to endure in eternity. So fine, make us lose, but make us lose depending on the decisions we made.
Show us the battles and all major and most minor decisions in action.

Reapers are something which can't be defeated. Or if at all, then well, well prepared! So, give us a real-time space fight, so WE can fight the Reapers. See, if we can win conventionally, based on our skills.

I'm glad all of you won.

But I didn't. My opinion is still perfectly valid.

About as valid as me demanding that Bioware let me shoot the Collector Base through the Omega Relay, turning it into a giant ice cream shop for all Omega inhabitants.

I agree, I just mean technically our cycle loses, even if by doing so we enabled the next cycle to win.

I think all four endings have revolting themes whether it be committing genocide, becoming an uncontrollable god, forced eugenics, or committing the Galaxy to a slow death. You're forced into a poorly written and executed situation that should not have existed to begin with.

I shot the tube in the faint hope that EDI and the geth can be restored based on some interpretations of what the StarBrat says.

Oh I missed that part. Still doesn't stop you doing the reaper's bidding though in any case. Or having to take his logic for granted.

It's also space magic.

The next cycle uses the crucible to beat them, not conventionally (hance Liaras time capsle giving them the crucible plans)

See, now we know you're just whining for the sake of it.

It has an ending, it is a video game. It just isn't what YOU want.

Which most of us could care less for, take your tears somewhere else.

I don't want to lose matches in battlefield 3, but sometimes defeat is inevitable. Get over it.

Nah OP, the way you want to win is even more magic than the abhorrent Synthesis ending. They said that the Starkid is basically canon so for better of for worse, you have a choice to win by shooting the tube and with high-EMS you actually survive.
So if you care about your LI over geth/EDI then that's your solution, otherwise you sacrifice yourself so that everyone lives.
But for what it's worth I understand. If you go full paragon/renegade and complete everything in the game you should be able to have a perfect and a happy ending because you've invested your time and made smart choices. Just like in ME2 when all your crew could survive.
Unfortunately some writers in Bioware really didn't like that you could save everyone in ME2. So save yourself or save everyone, or do magic.
Edit: but seriously just shoot the damn circuits.

Why would a god need to be controlled?
