Wouldn't this be a great way for him to preserve some of the Prothean legacy, instead of just whining all the time about it being dead and gone?

That would be like asking a farmer to sleep with his livestock.

It'd just end up with an Asari who would go on to have her own bloodline that would continually dilute her Prothean heritage.

Suppose from Javik's point of view doesn't matter, had sex, but still.

Because that'd be gross.

I'd say take some of his tissue and clone him, but he wouldn't agree to that.

Inter-species mating was punishable by death in the empire.

Maybe the asari are the way they are because the Proteans engineered them to be sex-slaves... the the reapers hit.

Javik actually addresses this (sort of) if Shepard is romancing an alien character in Mass Effect 3. He declares relationships between different species a pointless exercise as it doesn't create offspring. While an Asari pairing does, the child would be 100% Asari. So from Javik's point of view it would still be pointless for the father.

Because it would be a pure asari. People really need to remember how asari genetics work.

I don't think he'd want to have sex with a species that used to be a primitive.

Then why does the bartender talk about about how having a Krogan father influenced her personality?

Obviosuly the child would be an asari but it wouldn't it carry some DNA or some kind of essence from the Prothean side?

You mean after saying that scientists say that asari getting DNA from their fathers is crap?

No.

Because parents' influence on their kids goes beyond their DNA contributions.

Also, no, the child would not have any non-Asari DNA at all. If I may paraphrase one of my favorite TV news anchors: "ASARI DO NOT WORK THAT WAY. GOODNIGHT."

You sure? I seem to recall Asari-Vorcha offspring specifcally being allergic to dairy. :wizard::D

C'mon, we all know what the Protheans' "reward" was for chosing and uplifting the Asari. He'll mate with one.
