Wouldn't Synthesis create a potential population problem in the future?

So everyone is half organic and half synthetic now. So one can assume that if this doesn't make them immortal, it at least greatly expands their lifespan by maybe hundreds of years? I would assume that they're probably immune to disease as well. Added to the fact that now that everyone understands each other, there will be everlasting peace so there won't be any war or murder.

My question is, how many years will it take before there's a population problem in the galaxy?

Birth control.

It's not like the urge to reproduce is gonna be the same under the new circumstances anyway

Well basically we're all Borg now and assimilate. We have become the new threat of the Galaxy

Would it also make eating plants and other edibles murder? Everything is sentient now, apparently.

Horrendous ethical issues.

Speculation.

Synthesis doesn't solve anything...

I never really understood why Synthesis should supposedly make anyone immune to disease. I mean would the bacteria and viruses be "upgraded" right along with their hosts?

Nah, they would realize it's a dick move to harm them.
