ok this is my story i just played through mass effect 1 amd 2 as an adept and i thought it was fun alot of tactics really made me think on what my next move might be not a run and gun class i get bored with like vanguard or a soilder im on Mass effect 3 right now and i noticed just how easy an adept class is all of my attacks always hits the enemies even in sharp corners for some this might be fun i sorta find it cheap and boring

i restarted sadly all the way back to mass effect 1 how wonderful right starting right from the begining again but i want a hard class to play as so which one might work out for me? im sorta thinking infiltrator since they can only use snipers pistols and sub machine pistol but i don't know though

im playing on insanty and im sturggling which class i should be so help a guy out will you? :D

On ME1 I found it fairly difficult due to a difficult at best cover system and being forced into the open alot, not to mention annoying sniper sway when zooming. That ALL changed in ME2 when the infiltrator became one of the most overpowered classes there is.

There may be a minor sway but it's not nearly as drastic as the ME1 version

I would agree with the previous posts. ME1 Infiltrator is more difficult, but with the exception of when you are first starting out in ME2, it doesn't take long for you to become OP'ed as an Infiltrator. Even though the Tech on Engineer is damn good, the lack of gun choice in ME2 can make this class a decent difficulty....just stick with the original guns allowed in ME2, and Pistol in ME1, and don't max out Incinerate. Course, gimping yourself is kind of a cheap way to make a class more difficult. Gimping is an option though, for any class, if you don't mind doing it.

Wish I had a good answer for you, but I admit I don't play Insanity, so someone else could probably respond better than I can.  However, some things appear to be true regardless of difficulty, and ME2 Infiltrator is eventually the WIN class for me.  By about a third of the way through the game, I am usually tearing through enemies pretty quickly (and have a good team with you....... 'oh wow'!)  As I stated before, you can purposefully gimp yourself on some of these classes to make them more difficult.  A good example in ME2, is classes that only let you play with a pistol and SMG (putting aside the heavy weapon aspect here...); don't use any of the downloadable guns, even after you "learn" a new weapon during a particular mission, don't use said gun, and whatever your most OP talent/power is do not max it out.  Gimping can add an interesting challenge, and if you use your imagination as to WHY your character would be set up as such, it makes it easier to swallow.

But alas, I may not be giving you the type of info you wish for, and for that I am sorry.  Hopefully someone else will come along and give you their .02 worth.  Good luck, and Happy Gaming!Image IPB

I'd suggest Engineer just because of the ease and frequency I got killed in some places in ME1. In ME2... yeah, sorry, another powerful class. Or so it felt when just about all enemies can be persuaded to stand with their backs to you just by spamming them with drones, and when you can deal with absolutely all kinds of protection if you pick the right bonus power. But in ME1... yeah, there were a couple of sections early on where I got killed to death, reduced the difficulty setting and promptly got killed again.
