Howdy folks, I've been looking for a fix on here for a while now and haven't been having much luck, and haven't seen quite exactly my problem

This morning I wasn't able to launch ME3 correctly, it would show up in task manager and in origin saying I was playing it but would never actually start.  After attempting some of the fixes I found on here, the game will not even launch , doesn't appear in task manager or even acknowledge anything beyond syncing to the cloud

Does anyone have any suggestions?

So far I've tried reinstalling origin, repairing the install on Mass Effect 3 , I've tried replaceing the EACore and AWC files with the new ones from the sticky, I've looked into the local profile files which all seem to be fine,

Any help would be appreciated thank you

I installed the EC yesterday, and just tried starting the game for the first time since then. I'm having the exact same problem as you. It show's up in Task Manager (under Processes, but not Applications) and says that I'm playing in Origin, but it isn't actually starting.

that's because of the latest patch. exit origin, start it up again then go offline and then start the game. if it doesn't start up just repeat it once more. should work.

Fraid no such luck, doesn't matter if I"m online or offline it still doesn't start at all it pops up saying "launching" then just disappears if I"m offline, if I'm online it's the same Launching menu, only with an extra bar for syncing, and then nothing.

that's really weird because i had the same problem as you and going offline fixed it. did you try contacting ea support?

nope, I haven't contacted them yet, generally I don't have much luck with games from support, I was hoping I'd find it was a common issue or a patch would fix it , how troublesome I suppose I"ll just wait, only reason I really picked the game up again was to check out the extended cut version, though I was having fun in the multiplayer last night

EDIT well after about 9 or 10 tries it finnally opened up.... not exactly sure what was different about that time than the others lol, but I'd advise just to keep at it folks

i know this sounds silly but have you actually restarted your pc since the patch. also try running as an admin. i know these are the very basic things but the amount of time i tell people this they say they haven't lol
