Anything made by M. Night Shyamalan.

I loved Signs.

They can blow up entire bulidings but..  "They seem to have trouble with pan-tree doors."

No this is where Mr Night's fail began.

The Last Airbender was just an awful movie and an even worse adaptation.

I'll throw out one I haven't seen in this thread yet: Basic

The plot was completely incomprehensible, and the twist at the end makes the rest of the movie completely pointless.  Basically, they are investigating an incident involving Army Rangers.  The first person they interview gives one version of the events, then the second person gives a different story, then the first gives a another version, then the second gives yet another story, then someone else presents another version of events.  Then at the end, you find out that none of those things really happened.

Waste of two hours of my life.

That bothered me too. Everyone in the unit who told different stories to Travolta (minus the 2 assassins, and base commander.) were allied with him to begin with. Heck they had all the evidence at the start of the movie, to charge those involved in the drug trafficking, and attempted assassination. It's like Travolta's character just  said "Herp a derp i wanna troll my rookie partner in order to prolongue this movie past 10 minutes. I'm gonna have everyone lie to her constantly, and endanger her by letting her hang out with the assassins without her knowing...lulz."

It's much easier to list the movies that didn't suck than it is to list the movies that sucked at this point. Hollywood especially has tanked since the 1960s.

I don't buy it. The majority of movies, music, books, art, games, whatever you want, has always sucked and there have always been a few gems in between. Personal taste also has a major part to play.

Hollywood isn't about being artsy, deep or in any way intellectual. It's pure and mostly mindless entertainment. Take it for what it is. Don't buy a ticket for The Avengers if you think superheroes are silly. Some people enjoy movies like that and there's nothing wrong with that. In fact, it's the perfect antidote for all of the pseudointellectual babble I have heard over the years.

Cobra ... it was some old Stallone movie.. the preview literally told you more about the movie's plot that the movie did. It was sooo bad.. Stallone style.

No way!  This movie was pure 80s action awesome.  Don;t believe me, check this out www.youtube.com/watch :wizard:

The worst movie is so forgettable I doubt anyone here actually remembers it, a Richard Gere film called Mr. Jones

Skyline is a close 2nd.

The Phantom Menace is easily the most dissappointing movie ever.

I think the fail began when the screenwriter forgot humans are 70% water...

Exactly! Most things in entertainment sucks, that what makes the good things "good." They stand out in comparison because it's competition is poorly made.

I always find it hard to pick the worst of anything, because the really bad stuff is so bad that it doesn't get anywhere near me. I've seen scenes from Turkish plagiarmism films that look absolutely disgusting. Turkish E.T. stood out to me as being especially horrible. I bet somewhere out there, there are even worse films.

This sounds very provocative, like the name of some late night HBO/Showtime special.

Agreed. I was young and naive enough at the time to be an actual Star Wars fan. I really, really wanted to like it.

Haha!  It does! Sadly, it wasn't that awesome. :P  It was a crap horror movie, with Vinnie Jones.  I'm a fan of cheesy horror, but I just couldn't get into this one.

There are a few movies I'm still mad about paying money for and wasting my time...

1. Knowing. The concept seemed cool, but then the religious stuff started happening...
2. Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Hour and a half episode of the show.
3. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. I don't think I need to elaborate.
4. Waiting For Forever. Okay, I admit it. I'm a guy who occasionally enjoys a romantic movie. This one, however, was terrible. It totally tried to justify stalking with romanticism. And the main female character is one of the most stupid I've ever seen. She's going to end up chopped to bits in someone's basement.

It was my Screen Name for a while during some of my darker years.

Anyway, OT:

Eragon was horrendous.

Piranah 3D was basically Girls Gone Wild with Gore Porn thrown in with the normal T&A.

But BY FAR the worst film I've ever seen is George Washington.

It has nothing to do with the president, it's just a hipster, poorly acted, artsy film that, unlike most films such as that, was god awful and lacked anything close to a plot.
