I mean, the tears hit me way before the part where they did it in my first playthrough! I guess that then I was just trying the game and only at the very ending  I got a bit emotional about it.

This time, with the very same character, a deeper knowledge of the world, the story, the companions, I dove just too deep into it and I did try to keep it at a distance, making funny movies (imho) of the game, registering my powerful hero battles too (I am a powergamer, what can I say) but now, as I enter the final stages of the game and with still quite some hours of it ahead of me, if I remember it well from my first time, man, it hit me really hard! I really wasn't expecting it. I can hardly type. *someone hand me a tissue please?*

I was playing while uploading a cut of a Sout Park episode on a worldwide famous MMO when it happened and I still would ask, why would anyone want this for Dragon Age? Not joking now, some MMO are fun! (I've played Lineage 2 on private servers like some ppl here) But immersion? A deep role play experience? For crying out loud! (literally, as in sobbing).

Well, as a powerful wizard says in some movie, "not all tears are evil"... I really have them from a mixture of joy, pride and a bittersweet feeling that all good things must come to an end. Until the next playthrough at least! I really need to try a meanie dwarf bastard next time! This do-gooder thing is a bit too much for me to handle again... NOT! But the dwarf (or a drow?) does sound like fun!

I'll just go watch the full south park episode for a good laugh until I can pull it together and go back there for my favourite hobbie these days...  "Let's hunt some darkspawn" or "Who's the best killer" - Riddick style - with my party!


Edit: Video blocked worldwide... lol... this one I ain't gonna dispute but I guess ppl in N.America can still watch the full episode in Central Comedy site.. ep 1008 South Park - Make love not Warcraft! (I only had tubed 3mins of it, anyway)

I haven't even gotten close to the ending yet (compulsive restarter) but there are scenes I've seen several times earlier in the game that continue to affect me emotionally no matter how often I see them. The Human noble and city Elf origins are two. The battle of Ostagar (particulalry the ending) is always a very melancholy experience for me.



I'm looking forward to seeing the ending (but I'm in no hurry - I want to savor the game for as long as possible).

I hear you. I may DESPISE a certain Arlessa, but in every game I've played where I she is pleading with me to change my course of action, I get this hollow feeling in my stomach.

But thank you nonetheless. it's good not to be alone in this... I hate my wife impersonating some char in the game and doing the "Softie!" thing on me! =)

*sighs* ... No one can relate?... well, I feel like a sodding freakin' softie now... even watching the movie I made to honor my Rage char made me cry! With my "I'm Kind of a Big Deal" tears...

Wondering how will it be on the 4th or 5th playthrough... do they still hit us then? Since I take about 100+ hours game time each run... it may take me a while to find out.

Sorry for bumping like this... just waiting upload on the last movie featuring my Rage *sniff*... part 6 of a 6 volumes compilation that covers the whole last section of the game... not sure if I'll ever upload the first 5 parts though... I do make them so I can have a record of some truly unique moments that never repeat themselves even if I replayed the same char forever. (if never is too much, perhaps "barely minimum chance of" fits it better)

On my first game I could not romance one of the females (bug that was fixed in 1.02) so I had no love in the game and also got the sacrifice ending, that is what I call sad.



I made up for it in my next 3 plays however.
