Tactical Scan is amazing.
It's great against Phantoms, the area scan on rank 6 really helps with getting around the map, helps organise coordinated fire against a single key target, can be used to point out threats allies can't see and gives a nice damage boost for everyone. It's a team ability and I'm always sad when I see MQs that don't use it.
what powers do you completely ignore when speccing a character?

I skip one power so that I can max out training, health, shields
For the characters I am playing now I skipped Tech Scan on the MQE and on the QE Cyro Blast

I am absolutely awful with biotic charge to be of any use with it, it's more fun pulling in enemies with lash and then smashing them on my cerbgaurd anyway.

Singularity. Atleast with pull, you actually have enough time to set off a BE, but with Singularity, it ALWAYS disappears before yuo can get the chance to pull off a BE.

If a power can't justify the time spent casting / popping out cover vs the damage done of a good Gold or Ultra Rare weapon, I just get disgusted with it.
Incinerate is the only one in the list I consider iffy, and that's mostly because of it's explosion synergy with electric powers / ammo. I want to like Cryo Blast, but find no real value in it on Gold unless I'm using it completely wrong.

What do you use Thermal Clips for?
Not trying to say you're playstyle is "wrong" or you are bad or any sh*t-talk, just curious.
Personally I love grenades in all shapes and sizes, both from a fun and in-game effectiveness standpoint. (except Sticky Grenades of course)

Grenades for my Vorcha Sentinel, and Hunter Mode for my Gethineer. Waiting to unlock the Vorcha Soldier, then I'll spec something with a bit more range.to it.
