I'm not sure exactly why but I only like boy Quarians. I just love them to pieces. I adore Kal and I found Veetor just so adorable. Kal deserved better then a stupid email.

If willing to do a good bit of reading, this may help
http://masseffect.wi...m/wiki/Quarians
As for why I love the Quarians, my reasons go beyond even that of Tali'zorah.
Why do I like the Quarian People?
-Quarians are almost like that family some wish they had. A family always willing to be helpful, always willing to keep you safe, and if needed they would give their lives to ensure the safety of not only you but others of the family. Quarians live a life constantly on the move, constantly drifting through the Galaxy to find a home but still none can give them what they need like that of Rannoch.
Though they made a mistake of making the Geth far more than they intended, they paid for their mistake in the lives of Billions of Quarians, a loss of their embassy on the Citadel, no homeworld to return to, a devistated reputation, told they -CANNOT- make any efforts that may provoke the geth, still get treated as second class citizens, and even if hired by outside sources (If the outsiders even hires them!) they are only hired because of their technical genius and many complain about hiring them because the "Quarian individual needs" are not flexible to their desires.
Still through it all though it seems the Quarians only hate one group in the whole Galaxy and thats the Geth. Do we hear about how much they hate the Council races? Did the council even offer a bit of sympathy to the Quarian people by at least offering a planet for them? It may of not been Rannoch, but at least somewhere for them to start redevelopment of their people. Yet still a galactic community hates them for creating the Geth and even those who were not alive to experience the "Morning War" and the post-war affects to come are treated terrible by most people.
But even as the Reapers breath down the necks of the Galaxy's most advance, the Quarians in some ways are fighting a two against one war when they combat the Geth. Geth under the command of Saren or uploaded with Reaper codes slug it out with the Migrant race who has no home other than the fleet, has no allies to turn to, nothing at all to really lose other than their race as a whole.
I love the Quarians because they are a committed and loyal people. Though some ways can be seen as disloyal, you have to look to a larger picture. Matter of fact their loyalty is so strong, their return from their Pilgrimage can even show such loyalty. (This is also part of the reason I love Tali'Zorah) but each returning Quarian must confirm if their return as a successful Pilgrimage or a disaster about to happen. Tali'Zorah actually saves the Normandy unknowingly to most peoples knowledge when she is granted return to the Fleet in Mass effect 2 after saying her "Safety phrase", had she of said a different phrase (If that phrase was the one to do it), the Quarian Fleet would of destroyed the normandy right there on the spot with her inside of it. This would of been a hidden last resort of protecting the Migrant Fleet from those who would do wrong upon them.
But now the second question comes to mind, why do I love Tali? My reasons for loving the character actually share traits as to why I love her race. Though Quarians have some obvious individual differences, there is also the common desire and wishes they all share, the preservation of their people.
Tali is a character of Loyalty, Honesty, and Selflessness.
As a Friend/Crew member - She has stood by your side through thick and thin (Like Garrus), even though she has prior committments when you first reunite with her, she will rejoin you on the mission, and do so again later on. She is that constant character that you can always feel reassured that she will have that shotgun pointed at your enemies and not you, that crew member who thinks of everyone on the ship in a collective thought, and looks to helping you on any mission you need her help on with little to nothing requested in exchange.
As a Romance, she is by far in My opinion the best of the Romance options because hers feels the most meaningful. Liara, Miranda, Jack, Kelly Chambers, Ashley Williams, and etc all seem to be like "Oh I am getting with the Hot girl" (Not that they don't have their own special meaningful things to them as well) but your judgement of "Why to Romance Tali" cannot at all be based on surface appearance. Its a character you feel connections with through interactions, through understanding, and actually getting to know the character.for who she is over what she looks like. There is just this extra feeling to the character over that of the others.
She is committed to your mission but she is also committed to you, even with her "desires" or 'Selfish thought" as she considers them, she has done nothing more than think of you or others over her ownself. Her one and only true selfish moment is that moment she confesses her desires to be with you, which in of itself is not selfish only her natural attraction to you.
Pardon typos and terrible grammar, the hour was late and much was to be said. Thank you for reading the whole thing if you did. I hope the Link I provided will help give some more insight to the Quarians and Tali'Zorah.
To all who love the Quarian People and Tali'Zorah I say to you: Keelah Se'lai
