...that has a main character that copies accross multiple games? That was one of the things I loved about ME was the fact that my Shep and *most of his decisions carried accross multiple games. Do you guys have anything planned like that again (ME universe or other)?
*I say most because I understand that it could get quite bloated, design-wise (as was the case in ME3) of having EVERY decision carry over.
So Bioware. Any plans for a new series . . .

Whatever they decide to do, it will take a lot to convince me to give Bioware (EA) money ever again.

I think a better question would be, who would helm the project? and do you see yourself buying another Casey Hudson/Mac Walters collaboration.

I have no idea how they can surpass Shepard's Journey with an entire new story. It will be very challenging.
I'll miss my Jane Shepard

Yeah... they're really going to announce a new game series in a random forum post, without any press coverage, buildup, or fanfare whatsoever... totally possible.

A lot of people will hate me for this. But I would actually really like a smaller project from Bioware.
A singlular game story with a new protagonist set in the prequel territory with no immediate threat. rather galactic politics / war with the terminus systems, that or the first contact war at play. I wouldn't want to make any world changing decisions, just the smaller ones, want to be a normal squad commander as opposed to a legend like Commander Shepard.
But still a badass.
I know, starting to sound like Dragon Age 2. Except this game would have a new engine that allowed you to explore the planets and worlds in greater detail. We'd finally get to see the full picture of the universe as opposed to the narrow directed one that we are bound to by the Unreal 3 engine. Space battles would be nice too.
I'd like a heavy focus on open endedness and exploration. I really want to take in the universe. I want to solve smaller problems, smaller storylines as opposed to overarching threat.
Furthering the Paragon / Renegade change in Mass Effect 3. I'd like to see the bars done away with and no choice locked out based on your previous actions. Instead I'd like a system working in the background that affects your general reputation and what people think of you as the game progresses. So if you are mostly diplomatic about things or a renegade about things, people pick up on it, the world adapts to your character as your rep grows and that it perhaps flavours the ending a bit. See simple. Focus on the characters not the main story.
I'd like it to still be a 3rd person shooter but just as good with driving on planets or exploring space.

The ending message that replaces that DLC ad strongly implies that they're going to do more, so I assume there are likely going to be more ME games.

and I'd love to see much younger versions of characters we know and love. What about a Liara 30 or 40 years ago or a young Hacket or Anderson.

I didn't ask them to reveal a new game. I asked if they had any plans for a game utilizing the same setup they used for ME, in which a main character is used in all 3 games and all decisions carry over to each game. Oh, but I forgot. This is BSN. I shouldn't be asking about anything. Let me get back to ****ing about stuff
rabble rabble rabble, Bioware and EA are the devil rabble rabble rabble

I hope they either make something new or continue with mass effect. If they seriously think DA3 is gonna sail, I'll be skipping out on that sinking ship of a series.
